Despite Debate Moderators’ Lie, Crime is Up Everywhere—Especially Wisconsin
Kamala Harris’ FBI might try to tell Americans that crime is down, but a review of local police reports shows that they couldn’t be more wrong. Crime is skyrocketing in Wisconsin and numerous other states across the country.
The FBI claims that violent crime is down across the nation, a claim repeated by ABC’s partisan moderators during the September presidential debate. However, a closer examination of state-level data reveals a starkly different reality: Crime is skyrocketing to new heights practically everywhere.
The truth is in how you report the statistics. In Wisconsin, for example, state uniform crime reports sent to the FBI's national crime statistics show a 6.5 percent decline in overall crime from 2019 to 2023. This reduction, however, is achieved by conflating less severe offenses such as theft, larceny, and burglary with more egregious crimes like murder and assault, thereby obscuring the true nature of the situation.
If financial crimes, not including grand theft auto, are removed from the data set, Wisconsin crime rates actually increased by 14 percent from 2019 to 2023—showing a 20 percent disparity between what the FBI claims and what Americans are dealing with in their neighborhoods every day.
Murder increased by 43 percent, grand theft auto increased by 27 percent, simple assault increased by 14 percent, and aggravated assault increased by 6 percent. In what world does that constitute a decrease in violent crime?
Lies, Damned Lies…
Restoration News found that trend is true everywhere, and the accurate numbers paint a dark picture of the true levels of crime in America.
In Pennsylvania, the murder rate surged by a staggering 52 percent in 2022. Vehicle thefts skyrocketed by 71 percent between 2019 and 2022, followed by an additional 60 percent increase from 2022 to 2023. During this same period, arson arrests also rose by 26 percent.
In Georgia, FBI statistics on face value showed crime had decreased by 3 percent between 2019 and 2022, but minus minor criminal convictions, it actually increased by 38 percent.
North Carolina shared the same trend, as the crime rate shot up by a stunning 22 percent in just 3 years despite FBI claims that it was down by 2 percent. Murder increased by 40 percent, aggravated assault increased by 24 percent, arson increased by 10 percent, and rape increased by 9 percent.
Crime is clearly on the rise, but the Left and its trusty sidekick, the legacy media, are working overtime to convince Americans that their own eyes are playing tricks on them. To make matters worse, the radicals are upping the ante—letting criminals loose, rolling out the welcome mat for illegal alien troublemakers, and doing their best to make sure law-abiding citizens can’t defend themselves by targeting Second Amendment rights.

Soft-on-Crime
The wave of crime in America is leaving a destructive path and the Left can't seem to come to terms with the results of their policies.
During the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots in 2020, former Minnesota governor and now vice-presidential pick Tim Walz allowed “protestors” to tear Minneapolis to the ground. In total, rioters were allowed to destroy over 1,500 businesses while causing upwards of $500 million in damages—and Walz let it happen.
His wife even said she left her windows “open as long as [she] could” to smell the burning tires from the riots.
“You think the black business leaders in Minneapolis are grateful—the working-class business leaders are grateful—that Tim Walz allowed rioters to burn down their business?” Vice Presidential pick JD Vance said in August.
When the smoke cleared and police began to arrest the violent criminals responsible for burning the city, Vice President Kamala Harris began supporting a bail fund group that paid for criminals to be released once again onto the streets.
“Chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” she posted on X (formerly twitter) as the city burned.
That endorsement helped the Minnesota Freedom Fund raise $40 million that was used to release accused murderers, rapists, and thieves.
Nothing Will Change If They Win
Harris and Walz are severely pro-criminal, and they will undoubtedly exacerbate crime in America if they are given more power and four years to wreak havoc.
Americans have watched Harris fail at every initiative she has attempted for nearly four years. If you look back at her entire career, which is solely in governmental positions, you will see she has only made situations worse by implementing leftist policies that promote crime, kill free speech, destroy the Constitution, and hinder freedom.
She has had years to fix America and has failed the task. It's time to return to Donald Trump’s America.
