North Carolina is 4th-Worst in the Nation for Illegal Alien Crimes

Josh Stein won’t lift a finger to stop the open borders crime wave, but proudly supports Wake County’s sanctuary sheriff who protects illegal alien criminals from deportation.

In 2022, Josh Stein—the Democrat now running for governor—endorsed Willie Rowe for Wake County sheriff. Rowe openly advocated that he would not cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) because he didn’t want illegal aliens to fear the sheriff’s office due to their immigration status. In other words, Wake County is a sanctuary county that harbors illegal alien criminals.

Through ongoing extensive research Restoration News documents illegal alien criminals across the nation at IllegalAlienCrimes.com.

Sheriff Rowe, who oversees North Carolina’s largest county, openly admits that he won’t cooperate with ICE. A 2024 ICE memo lists all counties that are “non-cooperative”— providing no notification of the illegal alien criminals prior to release and no adequate hold time for Homeland Security to take the alien into custody. Wake County is listed as non-cooperative along with 9 other counties in North Carolina—releasing illegal alien criminals back to the streets rather than reporting them to ICE.

Yet Josh Stein has publicly stated numerous times “there are no sanctuary cities in North Carolina.”  Stein even doubled down claiming sanctuary cities aren’t real.

They are VERY real for the victims of illegal alien criminals in North Carolina. Here are just some of the illegal alien crimes that have taken place in Wake County during the reign of Kamala Harris and Josh Stein. Under their leadership and policies these illegal alien criminals will be released back to the streets after their time is served.

Wake County Illegal Alien Crime

Feb. 21, 2022—Aldair Leon-Olluas, an illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested for driving without a license and having open container of alcohol. He killed a woman who was standing alongside the road after a fender bender. He was previously deported twice.

Aug. 12, 2022—3 illegal aliens were arrested for the murder of a sheriff’s deputy, Ned Byrd. Byrd was shot in the back of the head 3 times by illegal aliens from Mexico: Alder Alfonso Sotelo, Arturo Marin Sotelo, and Rolando Marin-Sotelo.

Nov. 15, 2023—A male alien from Honduras was imprisoned for statutory rape of child by adult.

Dec. 4, 2023—A male alien from Mexico was imprisoned for rape first degree.

Dec. 19, 2023—A male alien from Iran was imprisoned for kidnapping second degree.

March 13, 2024—A male alien from Mexico was imprisoned for first degree murder.

June 21, 2024—A male alien from El Salvador was convicted of murder second degree.

Since Wake County is a sanctuary county, it is hard for citizens to know the true numbers of criminal illegal aliens in their back yards. There are certainly many more that have been kept hidden.

Attorney General Josh Stein must be held accountable for the illegal alien criminals in his state. Not only does he fail to protect North Carolinians from these monsters, but he also supports Sheriffs who refuse to report these criminal illegal aliens to ICE—further endangering Americans.
