Wisconsin Dems Voted to Trans Kids Forever. Is This Life Under David Crowley?

The Democrat-trans-forward agenda still wants to control your life.

In New York, Socialist Claire Valdez (DSA) seeks a seat in New York’s Seventh Congressional District. If elected, a federal "trans bill of rights" is at the top of her agenda. This is today’s Democratic Party: priorities for super-minorities that are only being mistreated in their own minds.

You've heard the stories about how life works under the Democrat-trans-forward agenda. Like the shocking overstep by officials at a Wisconsin school that robbed parents of the innate right to raise their child, forever changing the trajectory of the child’s relationships within that family. Dan O’Donnell of the Heartland Post reports that starting in 2023, a Winneconne High School student told his parents he believed he was actually a girl and wanted to transition his sex.

Broken Family

The parents sought mental health treatment for him, and he eventually stopped talking about it. His parents believed it was a phase he grew out of. They later learned the school was secretly socially transitioning him, using a female name and pronouns. There was talk of a lawsuit and pulling the teen out of that school, but he agreed to stop trying to transition and to tell school officials to stop using female pronouns, O’Donnell reported. But when graduation came in 2025, the parents were told their son would get two diplomas, one with his given, male name, and the other with his made-up female name—and that he could choose which name to use when he walked. He chose the male name and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin.

The child is an adult now; school is no longer part of the equation. But family is forever, and so is the damage to this family. The school’s pro-trans, anti-family choice to defy the parents’ wishes left the parents making vital decisions without knowing all the facts. The school taught the child not to trust his parents and trained him to walk on eggshells instead of being transparent with his family about his struggles. The school taught the boy to believe that whatever he wants is most important, and that his parents probably don’t love him enough to want what is best for him. He was taught selfish social skills that won’t play well in the real world. And imagine the tension at Thanksgiving dinner, navigating the rift caused by the deceitful Winneconne High School.

Leadership is an Expression of Public Values

This troubling situation might not have happened if political leaders set a different tone regarding Wisconsin’s values.

For example, Republican Assembly Bill 104 would have prohibited health care providers from "transitioning" the sex of anyone under 18. These treatments are often permanent, cause disfigurement, and can result in infertility. The measure was not a "no, never" rule; it was a "maybe later" rule. Seems reasonable, but it was fully blocked by Democrats. That is, every Republican voted for it, and every Democrat vote was against it, plus Gov. Tony Evers vetoed the bill.

In his veto message, Evers said the bill would have made Wisconsin "a less safe, less inclusive, and less welcoming place for LGBTQ people and kids." Evers said the bill would codify discrimination into state law, and he used all the buzzwords: fear of violence, harassment, persecution, bullying, hate, threat to safety and dignity.

"I object to codifying discrimination into state statute and the Wisconsin State legislature's ongoing efforts to perpetuate hateful and discriminatory rhetoric and policies targeting LGBTQ Wisconsinites, including our transgender and gender nonconforming kids." Evers added that the bill "fails to comport with our Wisconsin values. We teach our kids to treat each other with kindness, respect, empathy, and compassion-and we expect adults to lead by example."

That kind of talk from a governor telegraphs to schools that it is OK—loving even—to secretly transition a child.

In Wisconsin, you must be 21 to drink, and 18 to vote, buy a rifle, marry, and legally consent to sex. But Democrats want kids to have no guardrails and no parental guidance when it comes to sex change.

Voters must consider the values behind the policies candidates will champion. Pro-trans, anti-family, anti-fertility, and pro-abortion is the Democrat way. These values would take deeper root if David Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive, becomes governor. Rep. Tom Tiffany, his Republican challenger, as governor, would not have vetoed AB 104.

Fair Wisconsin, a PAC seeking more trans-first legislation, previously endorsed Evers and now has endorsed Crowley, plus a host of other candidates, all Democrats.

If you want to live in a world that matches your values, Republicans have a better record of representing all people fairly, instead of elevating a few identity groups to the detriment of everyone else.
