Serial Killers, Rapists, Toddler-Killers, Gangland Murderers: Biden’s Final Pardons Won’t Receive Justice

Joe Biden’s fulfilling one final vow to the radical Left: Abolishing America’s death penalty. Or at least for the 37 hardened criminals and psychopaths whose death sentences just got commuted by the outgoing Democrat President. It’s a grim Christmas present to some of the worst killers, rapists, drug-dealers, and even white supremacists in our country—and a breathtaking middle finger to the survivors whose lives they ruined, or brutally ended.

Recall that far-left Democrats pressured Biden to support abolishing the death penalty on the 2020 campaign trail, calling the centuries-old practice “unjust, racist, and defective.” Biden’s campaign website promised he’d “work to pass legislation to eliminate the death penalty at the federal level, and incentivize states to follow the federal government’s example.” As President, he ordered the Justice Department under Merrick Garland to enforce a moratorium on federal capital punishment.

Now, with less than a month until Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day, Biden commuted 37 of the 40 prisoners on federal death row to life sentences—and the far Left went wild.

The ACLU—one of the main lobbying groups pressuring Biden to commute their sentences—called it “groundbreaking” and “courageous.” “This will undoubtedly be one of the seminal achievements of the Biden presidency,” ACLU director Anthony Romero said.

Socialist Rep. Ayanna Pressley, part of the infamous “Squad,” called his decision a “groundbreaking act of compassion that will save lives, address the deep racial disparities in our criminal legal system, and send a powerful message about redemption, decency, and humanity.”

The Equal Justice Initiative said it “marks what could become a turning point in the history of capital punishment in the United States,” adding that the racist death penalty has resulted in “scores of wrongful convictions of innocent people.”

The reality is far different.

There are no innocent people on this list—only men who butchered families, shot 3-year-olds, raped 9-year-olds, kidnapped immigrants, stabbed rival drug dealers, and slaughtered inmates in the name of white supremacy. Read the facts for yourself.

Alejandro Enrique Ramirez Umaña, a.k.a. “Wizard,” is an MS-13 illegal alien sentenced to death in 2010 for 5 gang execution murders and extortion while serving as a “traveling evangelist” for the ultraviolent Venezuelan criminal cartel. While incarcerated, Umaña coordinated multiple attempts to kill witnesses and police informants, and even smuggled a knife into the courthouse ahead of his trial. He was just 25 years old when a North Carolina judge convicted him, the first MS-13 member ever to receive the death penalty in the U.S.

Daniel Troya and Ricardo Sanchez, Jr., were convicted in 2009 for murdering a Florida family in “gangland-style executions” connected to a cocaine smuggling ring. A trucker discovered the bloody bodies of 28-year-old Jose Escobedo, his wife Yessica, and their two young sons lying in the grass just yards from the highway in Port St. Lucie. Jose was shot in his left eye, three times in his groin, and once in his left leg. Yessica was shot 11 times in the head, face, and torso. Their 4-year-old son was shot 6 times; his little brother, age 3, was shot 5 times.

The hit was sanctioned to settle a drug debt against Jose Escobedo, the crime ring’s cocaine supplier.

Jorge Avila-Torrez is a serial killer and rapist sentenced to death for abduction, rape, forcible sodomy, robbery, and the first-degree murder of two young girls—Laura Hobbs, age 8, and Krystal Tobias, age 9—in 2005. Both girls went missing after they left to play on Mother’s Day; Laura’s father, Jerry, discovered their mutilated bodies the next day with fatal stab wounds and clear signs of sexual assault.

Police initially suspected Jerry Hobbs, an ex-felon, and he spent the next 5 years in jail awaiting trial. Avila-Torrez, meanwhile, joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in Arlington County, Virginia—where he attacked and strangled to death 20-year-old Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Amanda Jean Snell. Avila-Torrez escaped police. A year later, he stalked and abducted two women in Arlington, one of whom he raped and strangled and left for dead by the side of the road. Miraculously, she survived, and led police to Avila-Torrez.

Jerry Hobbs was freed and received $6 million from Lake County, Michigan, after being wrongfully accused of murdering his own daughter.

Cocaine dealers Richard Tipton and James Roane were convicted in 1993 for murdering 10 competitors and enemies in Richmond, Virginia. One victim sustained 84 stab wounds to his neck, head, and upper torso. Another competitor was shot twice in the back and stabbed 18 times in his front yard.

Similarly, Thomas Morocco Hager was convicted that same year of stabbing his girlfriend—19-year-old Barbara White—82 times inside her Mount Vernon, Virginia, apartment. Hager was a drug dealer known for shooting at least 7 competitors in the D.C. area.

Rejon Taylor was convicted in 2008 of kidnapping and murdering Guy Luck (pronounced “Luke”), an immigrant owner of the French Violette Restaurant in Atlanta, who was shot to death in his own van in 2003. Taylor had been caught trying to buy high-end electronics with 40 fake credit cards in Luck’s name. When Luck pressed charges, Taylor broke into his home and discovered the police paperwork—so he decided to retaliate against Luck. Taylor visited Violette Restaurant and surmised that Luck was wealthy, so he and two accomplices schemed to rob and carjack the man, stranding him as far away as Tennessee in hopes he would be cowed into dropping charges.

Instead, the kidnapped Luck tried to seize one of their guns and Taylor shot him three times, then dumped the dying man by the side of the I-75 highway near Chattanooga. Luck died at the hospital. Taylor later attempted to organize a jailbreak and allegedly ordered two inmates to murder a guard with crude shanks, while his mother was indicted for helping plan the escape.

Despite this, the Left has painted Taylor as a martyr to southern “white supremacy.” News reports about his commuted sentence gloss over Luck’s brutal murder—and his immigrant success story—to focus on the “racial overtones throughout the trial.” Art galleries now celebrate Taylor as an “artist/writer . . . [whose] resilient spirit and commitment to truth and justice brings light to the darkest of circumstances.”

Yet Biden also pardoned two actual white supremacists: Ricky Fackrell and Christopher Emory Cramer, who were indicted in Utah in 2016 for murdering fellow inmates in federal prison. Both men were part of the Soldiers of the Aryan Culture, a nationwide “white power” group that promotes members for killing black and Hispanic inmates.

Similarly, Wesley Paul Coonce and Charles Michael Hall were found guilty in 2014 of murdering a fellow inmate: Victor Castro-Rodriguez. At the time, both men were serving life sentences for various crimes including threats against a federal judge, carjacking, and rape.

Brandon Leon Basham and Chadrick Evan Fulks were sentenced to death in 2004 for kidnapping Alice Donovan from a Walmart parking lot and Samantha Burns from Marshall University. Both women were raped and their bodies hidden in the woods, where they were discovered years later.

Jurijus Kadamovas and Iouri Mikhel are Soviet-born serial killers convicted of kidnapping and murdering 5 people beginning in 2021. In each case, they demanded ransom money—receiving $1 million in total—yet killed their victims regardless, dumping their weighted bodies into a California lake outside Yosemite National Park.

David Anthony Runyon is a professional hitman hired by Catherina Voss and her lover, Michael Draven, in 2007 to murder Voss’s husband—Navy officer Cory Voss—to claim his life insurance benefits. Catherine asked Cory to withdraw ATM funds as a ruse to draw him to a specific location in Newport News, Virginia, where Runyon kidnapped and fatally shot him 5 times at close range. His body was discovered the next morning in a parking lot.

For the victims of Biden’s “clemency,” there is no justice here—save that which the ultimate Justice will one day deliver to the whole world.
