Pam Bondi Will Take Parents off the DOJ’s Hit List
The National School Boards Association will no longer have the Biden Education and Justice Departments to target moms.
When Pam Bondi is Attorney General, everyone who weaponized the Justice Department should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law—starting with former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
The FBI’s weaponization against concerned parents started during COVID, when parents’ eyes were opened to woke indoctrination and forced masking in public schools. Angry moms and dads did the natural thing: They showed up and demanded change from local school boards.
That’s when the far-left National School Boards Association (NSBA) sent a letter to the Biden administration alleging violence by parents against school board members—at the request of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona. Soon the national security state labeled parents “domestic terrorists” in the lead-up to a high-profile election in Virginia.
Under Investigation
Fast forward to 2024, and America First Legal recently announced its own investigation into the roles McCabe and his wife Jill may have played in the FBI’s probe against those concerned moms and dads.
A bit of background: Jill McCabe ran as a Democrat in a 2015 state Senate election and was endorsed by far-left groups, including LGBT Democrats of Virginia and Planned Parenthood Action. She was also an advisor to the Democrat-controlled Loudoun County School Board at the time the NSBA sent a letter to Biden in 2021.
The NSBA letter demanded the Justice Department use federal agencies to investigate “threats of violence and acts of intimidation occurring across the nation” toward school board members from parents. That triggered Attorney General Merrick Garland to issue a memo—which amazingly parroted the NSBA letter—directing the FBI to address threats against school board members.
Which threats? A later public records request obtained by America First Legal revealed the National Sheriff’s Association had “not heard any concerns about threats to local school boards,” nor had they “heard from anyone at the bureau [FBI]” about these supposed threats.
That prompted the Sheriff’s Association to ask “why the [Department of Justice] was involving itself in local issues.” If there were threats to local school board members, those threats ought to be handled by local law enforcement—not the Biden administration’s notoriously corrupt FBI.
I was a school board member and parent in Virginia at the time of Garland’s memo. I voiced loud concerns about leftist indoctrination infiltrating our schools. While we had some very long and spirited school board meetings, parents were sharing concerns about harmful curricula—not making threats against school board members. I often wonder if my name was put on an FBI list for my outspokenness.
As Trump’s Attorney General, it’s crucial that Pam Bondi focus on restoring public safety and a fair justice system—and stop weaponizing the government against parents with genuine concerns about how their children are educated.

Meddling in Virginia’s Governor Race
Just as concerning as the Biden administration’s war on parents is the role the FBI may have played in influencing 2021’s top election.
At the time of the NSBA memo, Loudoun County became the epicenter of controversy when a parent revealed his daughter was sexually assaulted by a transgender student in a school bathroom—and was promptly arrested at a school board meeting for speaking up. That became a major scandal in the 2021 Virginia governor’s race, which centered on education issues.
A House Judiciary subcommittee report in March 2023 claims, “The Administration’s goal seems to have been silencing the critics of its radical education policies and neutralizing an issue that was threatening Democrat Party prospects in the close gubernatorial race in Virginia.”
In other words, the Biden administration was trying to help Democrat Terry McAuliffe beat Republican Glenn Youngkin in that crucial race.
The Biden Justice Department’s intrusion into local school boards extended into 2023 when the Roanoke School Board was debating another hot topic: Gov. Youngkin’s model policies regarding transgender students. The board received a letter from the Justice Department offering its services amidst “ongoing community tension.” The Republican-led board denied there was widespread community tension and declined the Justice Department’s offer of assistance and asserted that they welcomed community input.
Tina Descovich is co-founder of Moms for Liberty, a group created in 2021 to give parents a voice. “For the last four years parents have been a target of our federal government agencies, from the DOJ to the FBI and the DOE,” she told Restoration News. “We look forward to January 2025, when our new Attorney General will hold the officials accountable that are responsible for unleashing the power of the U.S Government and using it to silence and intimidate concerned American parents.”
Justice must be served against those who weaponized the government against citizens to deter it from ever happening again.
