Zuckerberg Funding Helps the Satanic Temple Promote Abortion Rituals

New Mexico and Virginia are the first states targeted by the Satanic Temple for child sacrifice.

While this article may appear to be satire, unfortunately it’s all too real—and horrifying. The Satanic Temple (TST) boasts of having the world’s first “religious abortion clinic” where the “reproductive rights advocates” and “abortion care providers” teach mothers how to conduct satanic abortion rituals as their babies die.

In 2019 the IRS recognized TST as a church. In response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, TST’s first clinic—named Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Abortion Clinic—opened in New Mexico in 2023. They opened their second clinic in Virginia in Oct. 2024. The Satanic Temple promotes TST Health, an abortion clinic that provides no cost abortions under the guise of “religion.” TST’s headquarters appears to operate out of a 2-bedroom home in Salem, Massachusetts—the infamous area of the Salem witch trials.

TST Health offers prescription abortion drugs through a third party called Honeybee Health. The lead pharmacist and co-founder of Honeybee, the largest distributor of medication abortion drugs, is Dr. Jessica Nouhavandi. It appears TST Health is a part of its Satanic Temple “church” and not a separate entity. TST doesn’t list any licensed medical practitioners on its website.

Now the Satanic Temple proudly claims that “Virginia is for Satanists,” a play off Virginia’s famous slogan—Virginia is for Lovers. They encourage tax deductible contributions to help mothers pay for the child sacrifices.

Funding for Satan

The founder of The Satanic Temple is Douglas Misicko, whose alias is Lucien Greaves. Misicko is the only person listed on all documents filed with the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC).

Funding for TST is difficult to track since churches aren’t required to disclose their contributions or donors. However, Restoration News found several organizations who report donations to TST on their IRS disclosures.

The largest donor we found to the Satanic Temple is the Silicon Valley Community Foundation which is partially funded by Mark Zuckerberg. This foundation gave the Satanic Temple $40,000 in 2022. Restoration News reached out to inquire why they support the Satanic Temple— no response.

Other donors include:

In addition to those contributions, we found many more donations given through donor advised funds—a legal pass-through entity for those who don’t want their donations publicly disclosed. The American Endowment Foundation is a donor advised fund manager that reported $50,000 in donations to the Satanic temple in 2022 and 2023.

Is the Satanic Temple “Church” Illegally Practicing Medicine?

Restoration News obtained intake and processing forms for the Satanic Temple Health Clinic. None of the forms mention the abortion ritual that TST uses as their reason to operate an abortion clinic under the guise of a church. If women are not performing the TST’s abortion ritual, then TST’s so-called religious freedom to abortion is a hoax.

When an appointment is scheduled for an abortion with TST Health, the provider listed is Jamie Lindahl. There is no medical provider by that name listed in Virginia but we did locate a nurse practitioner named Jamie Lindahl who worked for Planned Parenthood for 26 years and lives in Colorado.

An appointment for a “medication abortion quick visit” can last as little as 5 minutes before the patient is prescribed dangerous abortion drugs. Restoration News also obtained the consent and patient agreement forms for the medication abortion appointments. Again, nowhere does it mention the “religious abortion ritual” in any of the documents. Restoration News has been unable to locate Jamie Lindahl for comment.

The Satanic Temple uses its status as a church to be a disruptor. They assert abortion as a religious practice and a tenet of their “religion,” and for that reason they claim exemption from any restrictions. TST has filed several lawsuits in multiple states challenging abortion restrictions, stating they should be exempt on the grounds of religious freedom. In 2021, they filed a lawsuit in Texas claiming that laws prevented their members from performing religious satanic abortion rituals. In 2023 a federal judge dismissed the complaint.

If a religious exemption is permitted for abortion, where will it end? Could a parent say they want to kill their 6-month-old child for religious reasons because they believe in child sacrifice? That is essentially the argument made by the Satanic Temple.

IRS requirements to be designated a church are not firmly defined. They use a list of 14 items to determine if an organization meets the parameters to qualify as a “church” and receive tax benefits. Some of these items include:

  • Recognized creed and form of worship
  • Definite and distinct ecclesiastical government
  • Formal code of doctrine and discipline
  • Distinct religious history

The IRS states “a combination of these characteristics, together with other facts and circumstances” will determine whether the organization qualifies as a “church” for federal tax purposes.

The TST attracts individuals who certainly align with Satan’s tenets. Dex Desjardins is one of their former “clergy” members and he is a proud sex worker, porn producer and owner of a swinger’s club.

Jex Blackmore is the founder of TST Detroit. She also created a porn website and regularly protests against the Catholic Church. She sells apparel items with the slogan “abortion is self-defense” and supported the “shout your abortion” movement.

Clearly, the Satanic Temple is an activist organization created to attempt to undermine true religious freedom in this nation. The Commonwealth of Virginia is clearly allowing a demonic organization to operate without regulation. At the same time, the Commonwealth places burdensome regulations on Crisis Pregnancy Centers trying to protect life. One needn’t be religious to see what an affront that is to America’s religious traditions.

The goal is obvious. TST Health wants to redefine abortion as a religious practice. That way, the government can’t intrude, regardless of a lack of clergy or licensed health care practitioners.
