The legacy media won’t tell you this, but President Donald Trump is delivering on the promises he made in 2024—and the results are already reshaping the country.
When Trump ran in 2024, he laid out a clear agenda. Priorities included: securing the border, restoring public safety, reining in federal spending, and putting parents back in charge of their children's education. The Trump administration, now in its second year, has made significant progress toward fulfilling those campaign promises.
From historic drops in homicides and overdose deaths to sweeping deportation numbers, deregulation, and new tax relief for working families, the results are substantial. Yet, the legacy media won’t report any positive accomplishments of the Trump administration.
President Trump inherited four years of damaging policies compounded by a border invasion that allowed at least 14 million unvetted people into the nation. Democrats don’t want the public to know about the noteworthy progress made by the Trump administration to undo the damage caused by the Biden regime.
Here is a look at the promises made and the promises kept.
Promises Made:
Border Security and Immigration Enforcement
Promises Kept:
- The United States achieved negative net migration in 2025 for the first time in over 50 years. This reversed a long-term trend through enforcement, deterrence, and policy changes.
- In 2025, immigration enforcement removed more than 2.6 million illegal aliens via deportations and self-departures combined—one of the largest enforcement efforts in modern U.S. history.
- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in 2025, conducted over 600,000 deportations, focusing on the "worst of the worst." In fiscal year 2026 alone, deportations have hit 350,000. Under the new leadership of DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, there have been month-over-month record-breaking numbers, with more than 50,000 in both July and August.
- Border wall construction is funded and is rapidly being built. The final planned completion timeline is 2028.
- The Trump administration has located 146,000 unaccompanied migrant minors illegally smuggled into the United States under the Biden administration. Many were victims of trafficking.

Public Safety and Crime Reduction
Promises Kept:
- Fentanyl trafficking across the southern border, in 2025, dropped 56 percent. The Trump administration has disrupted cartel supply chains through enforcement policies and international pressure.
- The enforcement of English-language proficiency for commercial truck drivers has taken over 26,000 non-compliant drivers off the road, improving roadway safety.
- The nation witnessed, in 2025, the largest one-year decline in homicides in its history through targeted federal interventions, reversing prior surges in violent crime.
- An 18 percent decline in drug overdose deaths from January 2025 until April 2026.
- The 2025 launch of the D.C. Safe Task Force: 7,500+ arrests, 735 illegal firearms seized, 80+ encampments cleared, murders down over 60 percent.
- A record number of FBI Most Wanted criminals were captured during the first year, in conjunction with accelerated high-profile apprehensions.
Promises Made:
Get Rid of Dangerous Ideologies and Racial Discrimination in Schools
Promises Kept:
- The Education Department (ED) ended over $400 million in grant funding for racially discriminatory grant programs.
- ED made a deal with Columbia University to discipline student offenders and eliminate racial preferences in hiring and admissions practices.
- ED entered into a deal with Brown University to combat Antisemitism, enforce Title IX "as intended," and base admission practices "solely" on student merit, "not their race or sex."
- Over 300 colleges and universities have “rooted out” DEI’s "unfair requirements for admission, employment, scholarship awards, and more.”
- The University of Pennsylvania agreed to apologize and restore women’s records and bar males from women’s sports and private spaces.
Promises Made:
Dismantle the Department of Education and Return Control to Parents
Promises Kept:
- The ED workforce was reduced by 45 percent.
- The ED downsized to a smaller building, which saved $5 million a year in facilities costs.
- Enacted the Working Families Tax Cut Act that revolutionized parental choice in education through the Education Freedom Tax Credit.
Promises Made:
Cancel the Electric Vehicle Mandate and Cut Costly and Burdensome Regulations
Promises Kept:
- Ended government incentives to automakers for the dreaded auto start-stop feature.
- Repealed the Biden administration’s costly greenhouse gas requirements, saving over $310 billion. Rescinded the Endangerment Finding.
- Eliminated the electric vehicle mandate, reversing a Biden "backdoor" regulatory burden that increased automobile costs.
- Ended the electric vehicle tax credit that subsidized the industry at the expense of the taxpayer.

Strengthen the Economy
Promises Kept:
- In September 2026, the Census Bureau announced that median household income was the highest on record and the poverty rate for children is at a historic low.
- The Trump administration, in 2025, delivered on 'No Tax on Tips," "No Tax on Overtime," and protections for Social Security benefits.
- In 2025, secured a $9 billion rescissions package canceling wasteful spending (including NPR/PBS funding).
- Created Trump Accounts—tax-advantaged savings for newborns (federal $1,000 seed money plus private matching), projected to reach ~$300,000 by age 18.
- Reduced weekly jobless claims to multi-year lows. Strong labor market indicators.
- Reduced the federal workforce to the lowest number in 15 years.
- The 2026 Task Force to Eliminate Fraud has already uncovered at least $245 billion in fraud. That doesn’t include the $215 billion in waste eliminated under the Department of Government Efficiency.
- Unemployment claims in September reached historic lows, and the overall rate remains low, hovering around 4 percent.
Promises Made:
Voter Integrity
Promises Kept:
- The crackdown and prosecution of illegal aliens who’ve voted in U.S. elections.
- The federal government provided the SAVE, or Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements, database as a tool of enforcement for states to prevent illegal aliens from voting.
These examples are just a portion of wins delivered by the Trump administration.
Despite the legacy media’s determined silence, the record is clear: Trump is delivering on the agenda the American people voted for in 2024. Border security has been restored, public safety is improving, costly and discriminatory federal policies are being dismantled, and working families are seeing real relief. These results stand in sharp contrast to the damage inflicted over the previous four years. With Trump, promises made are promises kept, and the American people are better off because of it.
