Trump Broke with Biden on Everything—Except Killing Babies by Mail. Why?
Facts, public sympathy, and Christian decency are before the court. Only the Trump DOJ stands in their way.
The most consequential pro-life case since Dobbs is unfolding right now—and the Trump administration is somehow stuck playing the Democrats' role.
Yesterday, the Supreme Court refused to halt the Biden administration's mail-order abortion drug regime while litigation continues in Louisiana v. FDA. Only Justices Alito and Thomas dissented. Now the dangerous abortion pill, responsible for spiking abortion to a 14-year high, keeps flowing through the U.S. mail—into homes, into bodies, past the laws of pro-life states—because the Trump Justice Department is still in court preserving Joe Biden's policy.
Let that sink in.
This isn't what President Trump's Christian base voted for. It's indefensible. But there's an easy fix: Stop defending Biden's pro-death legacy. It's that simple.
No studies were ever conducted to confirm the safety of that change. But the Trump FDA claims it needs a new study to reverse the Biden decision that plopped the pill in your mailbox. Why? Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. already told the Senate that Biden's study "twisted the data" to "bury . . . a very high safety signal" pointing to severe dangers from the drug. After that, the FDA quickly pledged a sweeping review of the drug's safety record, citing groundbreaking research from the Restoration of America Foundation.
This administration is already famous for keeping its promises to voters. Time to make good on this one, too.
What's Actually at Stake
Abortion is once more the leading cause of death in America, killing 1.1 million babies each year. That's more than under Roe—all thanks to the abortion drug mifepristone. What groups like Planned Parenthood don't tell women is how dangerous this drug is for their health as well, sending more than one in 10 women who ingest the drug to the emergency room… or the grave.
That's why the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) originally required women to obtain the drug in-person from a doctor or under a doctor's close supervision.
That policy lasted two decades. Then in December 2021, the Biden FDA lifted the in-person requirement ostensibly due to COVID-19. In reality, it was a political move to bolster Big Abortion ahead of the Dobbs decision overturning the federal "right" to an abortion.
Now anyone can buy mifepristone through the mail and attempt an at-home abortion… and the result is tragedy on a continental scale. Restoration News has documented the grim online gray market of literally dozens of abortion pill retailers, many of which flaunt U.S. law from overseas.
Rosalie Markezich is one such victim.
In late 2023, Rosalie's boyfriend used her personal information to order abortion pills online from a California abortionist and coerced her into ingesting them. Although Rosalie discreetly threw them up, it was too late to save her baby.
Rosalie's case proves that abortion is a nationwide issue. Louisiana, where she lives, has banned the practice in toto. Yet even in America's most pro-life state, women abort over 600 unborn babies each month despite Dobbs returning control to the states—thanks to pro-abortion sanctuaries such as California and New York.
Rosalie has joined the state of Louisiana in suing the FDA to overturn the Biden mail-order rule, which would restore sanity to the situation. Bizarrely, they've found the Trump administration standing in their way.
So Why Won't Our Most Pro-Life President Act?
President Trump has made a glorious habit of undoing Biden's worst legacies.
He ended the open border error that flooded the U.S. with at least 10 million illegal aliens.
He reversed the transgender mutilation of our children on the federal dime.
He sicced DOGE on the bloated corpse of federal bureaucracy and torpedoed USAID.
He dismantled DEI in the Armed Forces and refocused it on combat readiness.
He killed Biden's EPA endangerment finding strangling American energy and greenlit the first oil refinery in 50 years.
He empowered Kennedy to challenge the ever-growing childhood vaccine schedule that had more boosters than a NASA launch, and reformed a crusty food pyramid as old as Giza.
On issue after issue, Trump took one look at Biden's record and tore it down.
Except on life.
On the most fundamental question—the first right enshrined 250 years ago in our Declaration of Independence—the most pro-life president in American history is doing Joe Biden's bidding in federal court.
Common sense advises against poisoning our mothers. Polls show the American people agree.
The data was twisted. The Biden rule is illegal. Women are being harmed. Pro-life laws are being nullified. So again—why is the Justice Department in court defending it?
Mr. President, Do the Right Thing
Wednesday's Supreme Court ruling does not touch the merits. The case now returns to the 5th Circuit, where Louisiana's argument was already found overwhelmingly likely to succeed. The court has ruled three times that the Biden-era loosening of mifepristone safeguards lacked a basis in sound science.
The deeper question of whether the abortion pill itself remains on the market is unresolved. This case won't answer that question—but does tee it up.
What justice demands, right now, is presidential courage. The law is on Louisiana's side. The science is on Louisiana's side. Victims like Rosalie Markezich are on Louisiana's side, as are the unborn. And God, as always, is on the little children's side.
The only question left is which side Donald Trump is on.
