Midterm Blues Got You Down? 2028 Is Bright If We Put America First.

Americans sent a clear message on Tuesday, and it isn't "workers of the world, unite." Time for a clean break with the old do-nothing GOP.

"Come home, America," is the true message of 2026.

Democrats beat Republicans hard on Tuesday. There's no way around that. They captured both chambers of Congress, flipped Senate seats that should've been out of reach, and turned Texas blue. It's a message from voters that even the Beltway twits can't miss.

The country is more Islamic, transgender, pro-abortion, and socialist than it was last week. None of this was inevitable. These are the rotten fruit of a party—and a president—who made promises he failed to keep.

But before anyone starts writing the obituary for the America First conservative movement, let's take a breath.

The voters who handed Republicans a trifecta in 2024 didn't suddenly become socialists or Muslims in the past two years. In fact, their message has been remarkably consistent for the past three election cycles: we want better lives, not your party's luxury beliefs.

Both parties say they'll listen, but neither ever does. That's why Democrats lost in 2024. It's why Republicans lost in 2026.

If we want to win big in 2028—and make no mistake, the republic depends upon it—Republicans had better wake up. We won't get another chance.

What Voters Said and Didn't Say

Exit polling from the New York Times and NBC suggests Democrats made massive gains with every single demographic group, and most notably the ones that gave President Donald Trump his 2024 coalition. Young and old, poor and rich, white and Hispanic—the voters who built the GOP's new majority in 2024 swung hard to the right, only to swing just as hard to the left in 2026.

The point is unmistakable: Democrats won voters who had cast ballots in the 2024 presidential election by 11 percentage points (55–44 percent). They switched parties.

Democrats will read that as a mandate for their long-awaited proletarian revolution. They're wrong. Wrap your head around these polling results from self-identified Republicans and Democrats:

  • Eighty-one percent of voters polled said they do not consider themselves a democratic socialist.
  • Seventy-four percent consider themselves moderate or conservative.
  • Fifty-seven percent have a positive view of capitalism.
  • Fifty-three percent view socialism negatively.
  • Most voters polled say they turned out to vote against Trump in 2026.
  • More than half (53 percent) hold an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party. Fully 60 percent hold an unfavorable view of the GOP.

Exit polling is admittedly unreliable, but none of these takeaways should be surprising. Voters feel poor and underemployed, stuck in circumstances they can't change and utterly leaderless.

Trump won an electoral mandate by promising to “DOGE-ify” federal government waste via the Department of Government Efficiency, pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act, cut fraud and waste from social programs, expose the Epstein files, deport the illegal alien population, protect kids from the trans cultists, cut taxes, reshore blue-collar jobs, and make gas and groceries affordable.

He did all that and more in 2025—then pivoted away from his most popular promises to focus on foreign affairs.

Democrats are already revving up for the next wave of national disappointment. Get ready for tens of millions of Americans to sour on their promises when "affordability" gives way to endless investigations into Secretary of State Marco Rubio's shoes. Representative-elect Robert Garcia, the incoming California Democrat who will chair the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has already announced four plans to investigate the Trump administration and "Trump Crime Family."

The American Dream isn't complicated. Young people want upward mobility. They want to marry, have children, accumulate wealth, and pass on a legacy to their kids. They don't want to spend their lives renting overpriced apartments from some faceless corporate conglomerate while their prospects evaporate.

Give the people what they want—a functioning, normal country—and they'll shower the GOP with votes.

As "duh" as that sounds, it's clear Republican leaders still don't grasp facts. Let's make "it works" the principle of a new GOP and find leaders who will carry that banner to victory.

In that spirit, here are four planks for a post-Trump Republican Party that will dominate the rest of the 21st century.

Put National Interests First

There's nothing wrong with opposing Iranian nukes. What's foolish was thinking the United States could disarm or topple the Islamic Republic with airstrikes alone. If sending in ground troops was the only viable military option, then doing nothing would have been better than settling for half-measures.

Supporters will point to the massive casualties the United States inflicted on Iran. They're well-intentioned, but they're missing the point of war. War isn't about killing people; it's about achieving political purposes through military force. We should have learned in Vietnam that body counts don't mean victory. But alas, here we are.

Meanwhile, an army of Mexican cartel death cultists, armed with military-grade equipment, operates just across the Rio Grande—and open-border Democrats now control all four border states. Imagine tolerating the Taliban in Texas while the troops fight in deserts half a planet away.

America First foreign policy isn't pacifistic. It's prudent. Let's try it for once.

End Immigration

Multiculturalism is the opposite of national unity. For decades, the Left has actively discouraged assimilation into the American way of life, rooted in Christianity and the English language. The Right has played along.

It isn't enough to oppose illegal immigration. We must oppose mass immigration in general, whether it's H-1B visa holders from India or Muslims from Pakistan.

The United States admits between one and two million legal immigrants every year. How many of them are the brilliant doctors, scientists, and engineers we're told to embrace? Almost none. In reality, we're inviting the world's huddled masses while doing almost nothing to assimilate them.

The result is more competition for blue-collar jobs, upward pressure on housing costs, and the dilution of American culture. The United States is not a special economic zone. We all have immigrant ancestors, but we are not just a "nation of immigrants." America is a nation of settlers who created an English-speaking, Christian republic derived from the Protestant Reformation and English constitutional thought. In the past, tens of millions of foreigners came to the United States to become Americans because they believed in American values and wanted to join in our national destiny.

Contrast that with many of today's immigrants, who come here not to join America but to transform it. Or the illegal alien who cut the head off one of the soldiers in the Iwo Jima monument in Arlington National Cemetery. What message is he sending?

We don't want people who won't assimilate. We don't want Muslims who want to change our government and replace the Constitution with Sharia law.

The remarkable thing about America is not that we have a special culture—what country doesn't?—but how readily foreigners can embrace it. Our mistake was treating the United States as nothing more than an idea. Until we recognize Americans as a people with a right to exist, the Left will continue importing our replacements until there's nothing left for our children to inherit.

Protect White Americans, Protect the West

America was, is, and will always be a predominantly white country. It's a lie of twentieth-century liberalism that we can replace a country's native population and expect it will carry on unchanged.

Leftists wage a shameless war on white people in Europe and the United States because they are hateful Marxists who believe Western civilization is evil. They want to abort white babies, break up white families, and import our replacements.

If that shocks you, just look around. The Left isn't hiding its true intentions.

Why pretend civilizational suicide is our destiny? We have the power to seal the border, revitalize Western Christian culture, and protect white people—particularly the young white men who voted for Trump in 2024 but stayed home in 2026.

Older conservatives: you know your country isn't racist. You know that young men aren't "white nationalists." Don't fall for the same old lies. A nation that won't protect its own people doesn't deserve to exist—and before long, it won't.

If we don't give young white men and women an alternative to the Left's message of death, we'll keep losing elections. If white Americans are strong, healthy, and prosperous, everyone else will thrive too.

Don't Be the Lesser of Two Liberals

Principles matter. Unfortunately, in the Trump era, we've traded Christian virtue for pragmatism. The result? Two effectively pro-choice, secular parties.

Enough with that garbage.

Conservative Catholics and Evangelicals have the numbers to turn this nation around in a single election, if only they turned out to vote. In fact, conservative Evangelicals represented just 17 percent of the voting electorate in 2026—compared with 24 percent in 2022, according to exit polling.

The largest "religious" group that turned out: the religiously unaffiliated "nones."

2026 was the year of Islam. At least 36 Muslims won office around the country, while the Council on American-Islamic Relations—which has been investigated for ties to terror groups—estimates 81 percent of eligible Islamic voters planned to vote. The Muslim Brotherhood is already celebrating Senator-elect Abdul El Sayed's Michigan win as a model for Muslims working "from within the political system" on behalf of the "Islamic world."

The number of Muslim officeholders prior to 2006 was effectively zero.

One might say we launched a war on terror and got terror at home. We gave up Christ—and Christ has given us over to our enemies.

"The sojourner [foreigner] who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 'All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you.' —Deuteronomy 28:43-45

Trump removed a national abortion ban from the 2024 Republican Party platform. He had also refused every opportunity to ban or restrict the deadly abortion pill. Each time, he chose sin—apparently believing God would reward his rebellion.

We've listened long enough to the Republicans who insisted the party had to moderate on abortion to win. They've been exposed as liars, fraudsters, and fools.

Today, the United States is a pro-abortion country with two pro-choice parties. Enough messing around. We need to be the party of principles, life, hope, family, opportunity, and King Jesus.

God always takes power away from those who use it for evil. The only way to win it back in 2028 is to sincerely vow to use that power to promote righteousness in America—and then follow through.

Christians need to get serious about advancing Christ's kingdom and making themselves useful to God. Human life matters because we are made in God's image, created to rule over the earth and extend His kingdom. That was Adam's original calling, and it's what Christ died to restore.

It was Jesus who taught us to pray, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Go live it.

This Is How We Won the 2028 Election

Democrats always overplay their hand. It won't take long before the Left finds itself drowning in its blue tsunami. Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (VT) is hailing the win as a call for "fundamental and immediate reform"—by which he means government-run healthcare.

"From coast to coast, Americans are demanding a country that works for all of us, not just corrupt politicians and billionaires," says Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX). What does that mean? Abolishing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency, imposing a national $25-an-hour minimum wage, instituting price controls, expanding corrupt union power, and taxing billionaires.

Good. Conservatives ought to document every stupid, ugly thing leftists say over the next two years, then explain that this is what Democrats actually mean by "affordability."

As for Trump, he still has two years to surprise us. He has a clear mandate to end the war, restart DOGE, and put ICE deportations into overdrive. From here on out, everything he does should help set the table for a Republican blowout in 2028.

Don't let the midterm blues get you down. The last major division within the America First movement has been cleared. Now our party can unite around what voters actually want—and what will genuinely restore our country's greatness.

Vice President JD Vance gets it. "To the people who are pissed off and want to say, 'I told you so': you’re right, you did tell us so," he tweeted. "Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country."

He's right. America, it's time to come home.
