The Most Important Spending Bill No One is Talking About

The NDAA has the power to make or break our military. Yet RINO Republicans and Democrats are filling it with America Last provisions with too little scrutiny from the media.

The American people handed President Trump a historic mandate to seal the border, bring back jobs, and defeat the woke Left for good—and they gave Republicans a majority in both houses of Congress to see that agenda through.

That same Congress is about to flub a fourth pillar of the America First movement: Keeping our nation safe. Amazingly, there's almost no one talking about it.

It all centers on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a little-discussed bill that controls key aspects of Congress' biggest spending category—defense. The NDAA is Congress' tool for setting military budget priorities and ensuring accountability, making it the key tool for de-woking America's Armed Forces. Done right, we can abolish DEI and Critical Race Theory, fix declining physical fitness standards, and prepare a new generation of warriors to win World War III. But done wrong, congressional Republicans can hamstring President Trump's ability to enact sweeping changes to the U.S. military, and set the America First agenda back by years.

And that’s exactly what’s happening, thanks to radical Democrats and their NeverTrump Republican allies, who seem bent on turning the NDAA into a roadblock for the Trump administration.

Currently, both the House and Senate are working through revisions to early drafts of the NDAA with disappointingly little input from America First conservatives. To change that, we launched Restore the Military to give Congress a roadmap toward an NDAA with teeth… and let RINOs know we're watching every step of the way.

First, the good news. The proposed NDAA takes powerful steps toward gutting the Biden-Obama era of decline, aiming to:

  • End DEI policies and enshrine race-neutral hiring and promotion practices (Section 901)
  • Defund transgender surgeries (Section 706) and ban males from participating in female sports at military academies (Section 548)
  • Integrate the War Department in protecting our southern border (Section 1043) and help Mexico counter drug cartels (Section 1205)

Kudos to Republicans for taking our national security and culture war seriously. But there's bad news, too. Currently, the proposed NDAA locks up key military resources overseas needed at home to pursue an America First foreign policy. That includes $60 million in funding—without any benefit to the U.S. homeland—for Israel's Iron Dome project and open-ended counterterror operations in Syria. It also continues funding for the failed war in Ukraine, even after we've dedicated more than $130 billion in aid and military equipment.

Other key provisions in the NDAA that have got to go:

  • Limiting the Commander in Chief's autonomy on key foreign policy decisions related to troop levels, funding agreements, equipment depots, and intelligence sharing in Ukraine and the Middle East (Sections 1224, 1225, 1228, 1534, 2502, 1233, 1234)
  • Continuing race-based priorities by directing military research programs toward "Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges, and Minority-Serving Institutions" (Section 211)
  • And funding IVF fertility treatment for servicemembers, encouraging a controversial practice at taxpayer expense which receives too little scrutiny and raises serious objections from pro-life Christians (Section 705)

These are serious blunders that could jeopardize President Trump's mandate and empower the Democrats responsible for our military's decay, and we're urging Congress to change course before it's too late.

Our message is simple: You can either use your majorities to fulfill Trump's mandate, or you can use it to continue down the failed path of Biden and Obama… and reap the consequences at the ballot box.

As part of our commitment to the American people, we will continue revealing the truth about the most important defense bill of 2025. Transparency and sunlight shall prevail.
