Democrats Didn’t Win—Republicans Lost. There’s a Way To Fix This

It wasn't just the war. Republicans did too little to create real change. Time to fix that for 2028.

Trump dodged a bullet in Pennsylvania, but he couldn’t escape history on Tuesday. The most loved and hated president in modern times succumbed to the uniquely American tradition of midterm elections, where the electorate almost always exacts repressed revenge against the presidential winner two years prior.

Only in rare circumstances do presidents in power gain seats in the midterms. They almost always lose them. The trend continued yesterday.

Specifically, enough voters soured on Trump because of the unexpected Iran War and the resulting higher gas and diesel prices. The man who was fixing all of America’s problems under Biden during his first few months in office was unable to escape the tar pit of a war he had hoped to end quickly.

Make no mistake: It wasn’t all the war and gas prices. It was business that was not finished: DOGE ended too soon, election reforms were not enacted, abortion rules were not changed, Obama-Biden weaponization was not punished. Despite valiant efforts by Restoration of America and other conservative organizations, conservative Christians did not turn out to vote in significant enough numbers. As Ronald Reagan famously said after his own midterm blowout: “The meaning of the last election will not be found among those who voted. It will be found among those who stayed home—the biggest non-voter bloc in our nation’s history. And why did they stay home? Well, because they said they couldn’t see any difference between the two parties.”

So history smacked Trump and Republicans in the face. But there’s no time to wallow on the canvas. The counterpunching begins today. The bigger picture is this: The fight to restore America never ends, and the biggest battle is not 2026, but 2028. Republicans cannot lose the White House and save America.

Democrats have already war gamed yesterday’s victory and will be ready to hit the ground running. They will launch investigations and try to prosecute, impeach, and bankrupt Trump and other Republican leaders. They will not approve another Trump appointee.

They will continue to brazenly push abortion-on-demand and mail-order abortions. They will renew their grisly gender mutilation of children and try to reinvigorate their racist DEI policies. They will turn up the heat on corporations to shun conservatives and conservative policies and renew censorship regimes.

They will push to shatter American institutions like the Electoral College and the Supreme Court, and they will try to add Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico as states.

We must be ready to counter them at every turn. We can’t misread the moment. Americans didn’t embrace Democrats’ policies this week. They punished President Trump and Republicans for not fully producing on what they promised. We must comprehend this fact and be confident that our policies are still more in the American mainstream by a wide margin.

If history was working against us in the midterms, it suddenly can be our friend going forward. Now, the Democrats are on the clock to produce results for the American people and what do they have to offer? Socialism? Impeachments? Climate zealotry?

Republicans must thrust truth to the forefront. They must stand firm in their convictions and offer a clear contrast to the coming Democrat overreach. They must offer plans that are clear, concise, and doable. They cannot waver. This isn’t a time to compromise our values.

America was built on faith and family and it will be restored on those cornerstones. God is on the throne, not the politicians. If we channel our political views and actions through that lens, we will have victory in the end.

America is bouncing around on the bumpy road of God’s judgment, and until we as a country get right with Him, there will be wild peaks and valleys.

As always, disregard the second-by-second noise and focus on the mission. We have much work to do—starting this hour.
