Kamala’s Latest Whopper: “There are No Servicemembers in Combat”
The truth is there are over 11,000 U.S. troops in combat zones around the world, and times have never been more dangerous
Kamala Harris has no capability to be the Commander in Chief and will put service members at risk. She told many lies in the recent presidential debate, but perhaps the most egregious one is this fabrication: “As of today, there’s not one member of the U.S. military who is on active duty in a combat zone.”
That comment was a slap in the face to the thousands of military members—and their families—who are serving in combat zones around the world every day. Harris wants to be the Commander in Chief of the United States military and is currently a heartbeat away from that position, yet she has no clue about where our service members are deployed.
News reports in Aug. 2024 revealed the Navy deployed the USS Theodore Roosevelt strike group to the Gulf of Oman—a designated combat zone. There are 7,500 sailors and marines in a carrier strike group. The USS Cole, a crew of 286, has also been operating in the Red Sea in defense of commercial shipping lanes that are under constant attack by Yemeni rebels—another designated combat zone. Another report indicates there are 1,000 U.S. troops in Syria and 2,500 in Iraq, both of which are combat zones.
Just days before the September presidential debate when Harris said there are no troops in combat zones, 7 military members were injured in a military raid in Iraq—another combat zone. There are certainly many more troops in combat zones that aren’t publicly disclosed.
Harris also failed to mention that her administration ordered U.S. military members into Gaza with orders to build a pier; Gaza is another designated combat zone. The pier project was intended to provide billions of dollars’ worth of humanitarian aid, even to the terrorists, but it was stolen. The pier was then dismantled not long after it was built and several military members were injured during the process. Yet one more foreign policy failure in 4 years.

Harris’ Actions Killed 13 Americans
As a California radical, Kamala Harris doesn’t understand everyday Americans, nor does she show any compassion for the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform. She bragged about being the last person in the room finalizing the decision for the botched 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal that killed 13 American servicemembers—indicating she was key to Joe Biden’s decision. It’s despicable that Harris has no regrets over that decision. The families of the fallen service men and women spoke out against Harris and many have endorsed Trump.
In a recent interview, the mother of a fallen Abbey Gate marine, Kelly Barnett, said she wants to speak to Harris and ask her why she thought it was ok to consider her son “collateral damage.” Barnett also asserted the generals told the her that they had advised Biden and Harris that it would not be a good decision to move forward with the plan to withdraw on that day. Yet Biden and Harris ignored the advice of their generals and commanded them to move forward, disregarding American lives.
Barnett also recently invited former President Trump to attend a ceremony at Arlington on the third anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing. Trump graciously attended and was attacked by the media saying he was doing it just for political purposes.
Harris Voted Against Military Pay Raises and in Favor of Eliminating Tricare
Not only did Kamala Harris repeatedly vote against pay raises for service members, she also sponsored legislation that would abolish the military Tricare healthcare system, removing unique benefits provided to the military and their family members. While she is mostly silent on her views on the military, her votes speak for themselves.
Harris voted against the bipartisan MISSION ACT of 2018 that expanded healthcare access to military members. She advocates for the defense department to pay for transgender surgeries but doesn’t want service members and their families to have easier access to physicians.
Harris shows no regard for the military. She visits military bases and troops as often as she visits the southern border. There is little evidence of her visiting military bases as Vice President—other than to land her plane and go elsewhere. She also rarely speaks of the troops who sacrifice so much for the nation.
The United States needs a strong commander in chief that will support military service members and strengthen our military to protect the nation from the growing dangers in the world. Kamala Harris is not that person.
