Harris Makes Awkward, Unsuccessful Attempt to Identify with Regular Americans
Kamala Harris cites her upbringing with a nanny as her connection to small business owners.
Kamala Harris’ first response in the 2024 presidential debate to the question whether Americans are better off now than four years ago was cringeworthy. She tried to tout her connection to small businesses, but the example she plugged shows how out of touch she is with ordinary Americans.
Harris never actually answered the question. Instead, Kamala tried to identify with small businesses claiming she was raised by a nanny—her example of how she learned about the struggles of small business owners. Harris also spent a large chunk of her childhood in Canada. Both of her parents were college professors. In the U.S., her mother taught at the University of California at Berkeley, and her father taught at Stanford. Hardly the example of someone who can identify with the struggles of average Americans.
Harris and her vice-presidential candidate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) are out of touch with the realities of the American economy because the American taxpayers funded their entire adult existences. Except of course there is the allegation that Walz’ business in China may have been funded by the Chinese—but that’s another story.
Kamala Harris presents no evidence she has ever held a job that was not taxpayer funded. She claims to have worked at McDonalds, but that assertion did not pass fact-checkers. Another failed attempt to try to identify as a “regular” person. Reportedly, the San Francisco district attorney’s office gave Kamala her first job. From there, she worked her way up the government taxpayer-funded ladder, of course with some help from her boyfriend Willie Brown.
Harris has no idea how to create jobs. Reminder, she is currently the number two person in charge of the present failed economy.
Trump Will Make the Economy Great Again
President Trump presents a stark contrast to Kamala Harris. He has owned and run several successful businesses for decades, and has created tens of thousands of jobs in America. Trump proved he knows firsthand how to create a strong economy—because he did just that in his first term. Under Trump, we were energy independent. Under the administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the United States went backward, becoming more reliant on foreign oil—putting America in danger.
Americans can’t be fooled. They did not need to watch the debate to know that the Biden-Harris economy hurts Americans and that they were much better off under the Trump administration. The outcome of the 2024 presidential election will come down to the change in the average voter’s grocery bill. Here is the reality on increased prices under Biden-Harris from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Comparisons are from 2019 to 2023.
· Chicken up 31%: | Trump $3.11—Biden-Harris $4.08 |
· Ground Beef up 35%: | Trump $3.86—Biden-Harris $5.21 |
· Milk up 26%: | Trump $3.19—Biden-Harris $4.01 |
· Potato Chips up 41%: | Trump $4.53—Biden-Harris $6.41 |
· Sugar up 64%: | Trump $0.59—Biden-Harris $ .96 |
Not even the debate “moderators” can put a positive spin on those numbers. Clearly Americans are not better off now than they were 4 years ago.
