Criminal Illegal Alien Who Drugged and Raped Children in Tennessee Gets 30 Year Sentence

Restoration News had this sexual predator on IllegalAlienCrimes.com for two years before his sentencing.

A 68-year-old illegal alien from Mexico has received a 30 year prison sentence after a federal investigation revealed he sexually exploited children.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, in a joint probe with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), discovered Camilo Campos-Hurtado drugged and raped children while working as a soccer coach in and around Nashville, Tennessee.

While the offenses that led to Campos-Hurtado’s convictions occurred between 2017 and 2021, forensic analysis of his electronic devices demonstrate he had produced child sexual abuse material since at least January 2013. Federal and state investigations began in June 2023 after a community member discovered “explicit videos on a cellphone Campos-Hurtado left at local business,” according to an ICE press release

Restoration News listed Campos-Hurtado’s arrest on our Illegal Alien Crimes database, which provides a searchable database of the crimes illegal aliens have committed on a state-by-state basis. A search on Williamson County, Tennessee shows Campos-Hurtado drugged and raped at least 10 boys between the ages of 9-17 for more than a decade. The illegal alien also filmed himself raping the boys, including a 9-year-old. Campos-Hurtado had been a popular soccer coach and was a referee with the U.S. Soccer Federation.

How We Fix It

  • Partnerships between law enforcement agencies are critical. The Franklin Police Department in Tennessee worked with DHS and the U.S Marshalls Service to executive several search warrants that produced incriminating material.
  • The 287(g) program that enables ICE to work in partnership with local and state officials works. But more cities and counties across the country need to step up and help—many refuse to participate.
  • Tennessee could serve as model for law enforcement since state law explicitly bans local governments from enacting sanctuary policies.

The Big Picture

  • The weight of evidence compelled Campos-Hurtado to plead guilty in June 2025 to range of charges that included sexual exploitation of a minor along with the use and possession of fraudulent immigration documents.
  • “As Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Dennis M. Fetting said in a press release, “Homeland Security Investigations is committed to protecting children and ensuring that predators face the full force of the law. “Together with our partners, we will relentlessly identify, apprehend and remove dangerous offenders from our communities.”
  • After completing his federal sentence and any remaining state sentence, Campos-Hurtado will be deported back to Mexico. The investigations, arrest, and sentencing of criminal illegal aliens highlights the importance of the Trump administration’s continuing efforts to enforce federal immigration law.

America should not tolerate the presence of any illegal alien in our country, but especially those who commit violent felonies against our most vulnerable citizens. These are avoidable crimes that would never have happened if the illegal alien perpetrator had not made it inside our border. Visit IllegalAlienCrimes.com to search for criminals in your area.
