Why is Kamala Harris Spending FEMA Funds on Illegal Aliens Instead of Hurricane Victims?
While Biden promises to reimburse North Carolina for disaster relief, he and Kamala Harris have already spent our money aiding illegal aliens over Americans in need
Even a catastrophic hurricane isn’t enough to make Kamala Harris put Americans first. Not when there’s money to give to illegal aliens, anyway.
Democrats like North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) are praising the Harris-Biden regime’s paltry response to Hurricane Helene as if it isn’t half-baked and insufficient, with Cooper thanking Biden for promising to reimburse North Carolina for disaster relief for the next 6 months with FEMA funds.
But what funds, exactly? According to Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas just yesterday, there are no FEMA funds left to make it through hurricane season because the Harris-Biden administration spent over a billion dollars from a FEMA program on services for aliens illegally crossing the border.
Now there’s none left for the American families who’ve lost their homes, businesses, loved ones, and futures.
We tracked down that spending and it’s even uglier than Mayorkas admits. In March 2023, the Harris-Biden administration spent $50 million on the “Greensboro Influx Care Facility” meant to house 800 “unaccompanied minors.” Since it opened 8 months ago, not one child has been housed there—yet the federal government continues to pay a fortune maintaining the sprawling facility.
Why haven’t those buildings been rapidly converted into housing for hurricane victims? No one knows, least of all Harris.

A Study in Contrasts
It’s been 7 days since Hurricane Helene ravaged the southeast on Friday, Sept. 27, devastating remote and mountainous areas of North Carolina after causing severe damage in Florida and Georgia. The response from both sides has been telling about who cares more about the country.
Former President Trump immediately suspended his campaign events, hurried to flood-ravaged areas, and started an online fundraiser for the victims.
Joe Biden spent the weekend at the Delaware beach while Kamala Harris raised tens of millions of dollars at a San Francisco fundraiser.
The following Monday—just 3 days after Helene struck—Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis had already secured and implemented plans for his state and sent resources to help North Carolinians.
When Biden was questioned on Monday about why he and Vice President Harris weren’t in Washington over the weekend commanding resources to the affected areas, Biden gave this cold response: “I command it. It’s called a telephone and all my security people.”
The response from Harris? She posted a staged picture reportedly on a hurricane briefing—but she forgot to plug in her headset. .

Apparently, Joe Biden’s phone calls didn’t make it to the soldiers because as of Oct. 2 they had not yet deployed to western North Carolina. If the Harris-Biden administration can’t implement plans here at home to protect Americans, how can they be trusted with national security? What will happen the next time a flood, tornado, hurricane, or—God forbid—terrorist attack threatens lives with Kamala Harris in the White House?
Individuals and private groups are flooding to the areas in need to help but stories—too numerous to deny—indicate they are being turned away or resources aren’t being distributed. They are being told by government officials that further resources aren’t needed and that it’s being handled by the government. By the time the government arrives, more people will be dead.
Americans have come to realize they must rely on themselves and their neighbors—not the Harris-Biden administration and government bureaucrats. Especially when the government cares more about illegal aliens than American citizens in Appalachia.
