Tim Walz’s NEA Promotes the Sexualization of Children

The NEA just reaffirmed official support for educational programs that encourage grooming minors

The National Education Association (NEA) adopted far-left resolutions at its 2024–25 convention that look more like a playbook for the extremist wing of the Democrat Party than what’s best for students. The NEA is the largest labor union in the nation and encourages its members to increase their role in teaching children about “sensitive sex education” topics.

Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz is a proud member of the NEA and is a strong advocate of their indoctrination. Walz and the NEA support allowing sexually explicit materials to be available in schools to minor children. Walz also brags about being an advisor for Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) clubs when he was a teacher. The purpose of the GSA—now known as the Genders & Sexualities Alliance—is to “empower and train trans, queer, and allied youth leaders to advocate, organize, and mobilize an intersectional movement.” Children often attend these clubs in public schools without the knowledge of their parents.

Kamala Harris is strongly endorsed by the NEA and co-sponsored failed legislation that would require the Education Department to give grants for implementing Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) for minors. Even though Harris’ legislation failed, public schools around the nation supported by the NEA are using CSE curriculum created by Planned Parenthood called “Get Real.” The Get Real curriculum teaches children about homosexuality, transgenderism, how to masturbate, and how to use a condom.

NEA Votes In Favor of Girls in Boys Locker Rooms

At its 2024 convention, the NEA voted on a resolution to promote “inclusive educational programs that address the unique needs and concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and questioning students.”

The NEA further advocates for boys to be able to compete in girls’ sports and to use girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms. The teachers’ union also supports laws that protect a “student’s right to privacy or confidentiality”—in other words government schools should be able to keep secrets form parents regarding a child’s sexuality or gender confusion.

At the recent convention, the NEA president went on a disturbing rant screaming “we must do this work, we must win ALL the things, ALL the things, ALL the things” and “we won’t go back and we will keep going forward because WE ARE THE NEA, WE ARE THE NEA!”

The “work” that the NEA president is referring to includes advocating for sexually explicit materials and Leftist dogma. The focus by the teachers’ union and government schools on children’s sexuality is a disturbing trend. When did it become okay for a non-parent adult to talk to children about sex?

That used to be called grooming and would land the perpetrator in jail—now it’s called “education.”

The government education establishment’s purpose is no longer to educate children to become productive members of society. The goal is to teach children what to think not how to think. The teachers’ union seems intent on breaking apart the family structure by controlling messaging to children into their Marxist indoctrination. When parents fight back against the union’s radical gender theory agenda, they are accused of being anti-gay or homophobic. Another narrative that is used to promote the leftist mindset is that if a person doesn’t celebrate LGBTQ or Pride months, they are bullies who want to harm children.

It's time to stand against the harmful sexualization of children by the NEA and other Democrats like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Parents need to show up to school board meetings to protect their children and fight back against the radical Left.
