North Carolina is Now #3 in the Nation for Illegal Alien Crimes

Attorney General Josh Stein, candidate for North Carolina governor, remains silent as his state is overrun with illegal alien murderers and child rapists.

As if hurricanes and flooding weren’t enough, North Carolina is now the third-worst state in the nation for illegal alien crimes, according to new research at IllegalAlienCrimes.com.

Restoration News has documented over 800 illegal alien criminals charged with thousands of crimes in North Carolina in just the last 3 years of the Harris-Biden administration. In Mecklenburg County alone, over 500 illegal aliens have been arrested for over 2,000 crimes since June 2021—including 10 murders and 52 counts of rape or sexual assault against children.

The big, preventable problem is Mecklenburg Sheriff Garry McFadden’s sanctuary policies that harbor illegal aliens. McFadden refuses to cooperate with holding inmates who have immigration detainers issued against them by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As a result, the illegal aliens arrested in Mecklenburg County will most likely be released back onto the streets to harm again rather than be deported—including pedophiles.

In September, the North Carolina Republican controlled legislature passed a bill (HB10) that requires sheriffs to cooperate with ICE. The bill requires the sheriff to take the prisoner to a state judicial official who must be provided with the immigration detainer and administrative warrants prior to a prisoner’s release. Gov. Roy Cooper (D) vetoed the bill, but it will come back before the state legislature for a likely override.

Restoration News reached out to Attorney General Josh Stein’s office to ask if he would enforce the law regarding HB 10 and we received no response. Stein is endorsed by several sanctuary sheriffs, including Mecklenburg’s Garry McFadden.

We made an open records request to Mecklenburg County to get the data on criminals for whom ICE issued detainers. We have placed them all on IllegalAlienCrimes.com but here are just a few examples from Mecklenburg County:

  • March 24, 2022—Luis Fabian-Vargus was arrested on 12 counts of indecent liberties with a child. He was placed on an immigration detainer.
  • December 23, 2023—Victor Arley Aguedelo-Monsalve was charged with the murder of a 19-year-old girl who was found stabbed to death. Monsalve was placed on an immigration detainer.
  • February 16, 2024—Julio Cesar-Brito Luna was charged with rape of a child, first degree sex offense of a child, breaking and entering, kidnapping, and more. He was placed on an immigration detainer.
  • June 23, 2024—Jose Ulloa-Martinez was charged with murder after he shot and killed a man. He fled and was found in Houston, Texas, where he was arrested and extradited back to North Carolina. He was placed on an immigration detainer.
  • July 11, 2024—Carlos Roberto Diaz, an illegal alien from Honduras, was charged with murder and 5 counts of attempted murder for a shooting spree that killed one man and injured 3 others.
  • August 1, 2024—Eleno Cerantes-Juarez was arrested after he tried to sexually assault a woman in a bathroom at a tire shop. He was placed on an immigration detainer.

Remember that just because ICE issued a detainer, doesn’t mean the sanctuary sheriff turned over these monsters to ICE after their time was served. On the contrary, they were probably released back onto the streets. If you want a safer community, vote for candidates who won’t harbor criminals illegally crossing the border harming Americans.
