Marxist Feminists Were the First Supporters of Transgender Ideology
The feminist movement wasn't about voting rights; it has always been about dismantling the family.
Early figures of the feminist movement pushed against the traditional Biblical family, which emphasizes the father as provider and the mother as the primary caregiver. Under their influence, individual ambitions and self-fulfillment became the aspiration over the emphasis of the family unit. Feminist ideology rejects the Biblical understanding of Eve as a helper and instead reframes motherhood as a form of oppression while redefining gender as nothing more than a social construct.
The result: Influential women idolized by the feminist movement rejected God and lived lives marked by mental illness, instability, and broken families.
This is not a new phenomenon. Mary Wollstonecraft is considered by some to be the founder of feminism and is a hero of modern-day feminists. In her 1792 book, A Vindication of the Rights of Women, she cast mothers as "convenient domestic slaves." She died shortly after her daughter, atheist and Frankenstein author Mary Shelley, was born. Mary shared her mother's feminist views and lived a tumultuous life. She had an affair with Percy Shelley, a married father with a pregnant wife. Percy's first wife, Harriet, killed herself after being abandoned by him. Mary and Percy had four children together but only one survived to adulthood. Mary died at the age 53 from a brain tumor.
Charlotte Perkins Gilman was a late 1800s figure of the feminist movement. She believed women's independence was a necessary precondition to her desired outcome of socialism. She called being a stay-at-home mother "compulsory domesticity." Gilman's parents had a rocky marriage that ended in divorce, a rare occurrence in 1873. Then Gilman married and had a child, but she suffered from mental illness. She ultimately divorced her husband and gave up custody of her daughter because she wanted to travel and concentrate on her own career.
Gilman's novel, Herland, describes her idea of utopia as a society where there are only individuals and the community—the institution of family does not exist. Despite living out her dream of being an independent woman, Gilman committed suicide in 1935. Her depression and disastrous life ending in suicide didn't stop modern feminists in the 1960's and 1970's from revering Gilman, whose writings are essential to their cause.
Gender as a 'Social Construct' in the 1920's
Other women continued to carry on the Marxist platform of dismantling the family, despite the misery of these early feminist trailblazers.
Simone de Beauvoir is another hero of the feminist mafia. In her 1949 work The Second Sex, Beauvoir claims, "the female is a woman, insofar as she feels herself as such . . . Nature does not define woman: it is she who defines herself by reclaiming nature for herself in her affectivity." She also calls the book of Genesis a "legend" and claims the story was meant to control women as "privileged prey" for men.
This blasphemous work not only lies about and twists the creation story, but it also becomes the foundation for the notion of "gender identity" plaguing the world today.
The most notorious and dangerous racist, feminist of all time is Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. Sanger began by pushing birth control. She advocated for recruiting black ministers to support her birth control project saying, "the most effective educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal." After recruiting a "Negro Advisory Council," she established Planned Parenthood clinics throughout the South pushing birth control and sterilization on non-whites. Sanger was also aligned with the Ku Klux Klan and even spoke at one of their rallies in 1926.
For nearly a century, Planned Parenthood revered Sanger and even named clinics after her. It wasn't until 2020, after pressure from outside groups that they removed Sanger's name from their Manhattan clinic.
The Bible Gives Clarity
Marriage is a holy institution ordained by God. Scripture provides the instruction manual on a successful marriage in Ephesians 5. God gives roles to both the husband and wife. To the man he directs that he is to be the "head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church." That's an extremely tall order for the man. Christ loves the church and he gave his life for it, so in the same way God expects the husband to treat his wife as Christ treated the church. It doesn't mean the man is a dictator over his wife, he is told to nourish and cherish her.
Throughout the Bible, God gives instructions for women. In Genesis, He creates woman to be a helper to man and when they are joined together they "shall become one flesh." Titus instructs older women to train the younger women to love their husbands and children and to be caregivers in the home. Proverbs 31 emphasizes the importance of the woman who fears the Lord:
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates
We are all created in the image of God. Nowhere in the Bible does it indicate that a man or a woman has a different worth. We are all precious to him, but he intends for us to have distinct roles in life.
The Marxist feminist agenda seeks to destroy the family because feminism is anti-God. When a mother puts her own interests ahead of the needs of her family, God's instruction manual is not being followed.
God tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7) and a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised (Proverbs 31:30).
History shows that when societies abandon God-ordained order, confusion replaces clarity and the family weakens. If we desire a future marked by stability, dignity, and true flourishing for both women and men, the path forward is not found in ideologies that discard timeless truth, but in returning to the wisdom God has already provided.
