Kamala Harris Only Cares about “Gun Violence” Prevention When It Fits Her Narrative

Incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris might claim she wants to end “gun violence” in the wake of school shootings, but her true apathy towards the lives of Americans is highlighted by her silence as Venezuelan prison gangs terrorize the residents of Colorado.

After a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris took the stage at a campaign event in New Hampshire to call for an end to gun violence—yet she overlooked the Americans facing armed threats from illegal alien prison gangs in Colorado.

Why is there a difference? Shouldn’t all “gun violence” be fought against to ensure Americans remain safe? If protecting innocent lives was the real goal, one would assume that is the proper course.

Sadly, Harris doesn’t really want to end “gun violence.” Her policies show she ultimately aims to remove firearms from Americans—and school shootings conveniently play into her disarmament narrative while also tugging on the heart strings of identity politics voters.

But her political gamesmanship, like many of her failed policies, leave Americans to fend for themselves. In Denver, Colorado, members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan prison gang, have begun to spread into the suburbs, using AR-15s to maintain control and placing countless law-abiding families at risk.

As the chaos ensues, Harris remains silent.

Harris’s indifference toward Denver residents reveals her stance against the Second Amendment while highlighting her failure to secure the southern border. Just a reminder: Nearly 10 million illegal aliens have entered the country and over 300,000 children are missing because of Harris.

School shootings allow her to condemn firearms rather than those committing the acts, yet armed gangs of illegal aliens underscore a different truth: it is the violent individuals, not merely the weapons, driving crime. This paints a harshly negative picture for the “border czar.”

Harris can claim to care for the lives of Americans by pushing for “gun violence” prevention, but it is very clear she does not seek real progress. The litany of “gun control” measures she supports sadly don’t reduce the risk of school shootings. In fact, many of them leave the doors wide open for more violence.

It’s all a facade, and many Americans will happily follow along.

Preventing Prevention?

Harris uses school shootings to call for heightened gun control measures, many that blatantly violate the Constitution, but she is completely missing the real changes that could usher in true security—and all of her Democrat cronies think the same.

In May, Tennessee Republicans sought to pass legislation that would allow teachers to be properly trained so they could carry firearms in school, but Democrat lawmakers have a track record of demonizing any “gun violence” measures that return the power to the people and worked to block the common sense legislation.

Leftist politicians fear the idea that good Americans can combat criminals, and allowing teachers to be a deterrent to violence underscores the narrative they wish to spin—the gun is the problem.

Sadly, they hold this belief in the face of Americans who seek real change.

According to a 2022 PDK International poll, 80 percent of respondents favored allowing preventative safety measures in schools, including armed police. Forty-five percent somewhat or strongly favored arming teachers as a “safety strategy.”

In Idaho, Republican lawmakers eyed the same legislation, but “progressive” Democrats will not let it happen.

“These select school employees will provide an armed force to protect children in the first minutes of an attack,” said Ohio state Rep. and bill sponsor Ted Hill (R). “We don’t want to have a stack of 20 kids dead in a classroom because we didn’t do anything.”

Allowing teachers to carry firearms simply follows the data. The FBI reports that most active threat events—including mass shootings—are over within five minutes. Yet it takes law enforcement between five and 10 minutes (at best) to respond to a shooting.

The situation is even more dire for rural schools that could be left stranded for over 20 minutes waiting for police response. Honorable, well-trained, law-abiding teachers can effectively fill that gap and save countless lives.

The Left will never put their money on honorable Americans. Instead, they pass legislation to take away firearms in complete violation of the Second Amendment and push “gun free” zones that act as welcoming signs to individuals who wish to commit crimes.

Kamala will not protect Americans, she will not stop school shootings, and she will not secure our order. Four more years isn’t an option.
