The Second Amendment Will Look Very Different If Kamala Harris and Tim Walz Take Office
Kamala Harris, now assisted by Tim Walz, is on a leftist warpath against the very ideals that distinguish America from the rest of the world, and to no one’s surprise, she has had the Second Amendment scoped in for years.
Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) are intent on infringing upon Americans’ Second Amendment rights through any means necessary—including federal overreach. If elected, they will undoubtedly attempt to impose AR-15 bans, universal background checks, and numerous other infringements on law-abiding citizens.
Since her early days as the San Francisco District Attorney, Kamala Harris has made her stance on the Second Amendment clear. Harris even asserts that Americans do not have the right to carry firearms while also comparing her Second Amendment goals to those of Australia—a country that bans practically all firearms.
In April, Harris posted that “Congress must pass Universal background checks, red flag laws, and Assault Weapon Bans,” claiming that “Americans deserve freedom from gun violence.”
Let’s not overlook that this is typical Leftist rhetoric, focusing blame on the weapon itself—an inanimate object—despite the fact that over 50 percent of all “gun violence” is actually suicide. While this is a tragic statistic, it hardly serves as evidence that guns are inherently bad. If anything, it highlights the need for better mental health care, not stricter gun control.
The misleading narrative of “gun violence” is an effective strategy that plays on the emotions of Americans and misleads gun owners into believing they are the problem—rather than the criminals who roam the streets due to leftist policies.

Harris will undoubtedly make universal background checks and AR-15 bans central to her administration—she’s made her stance very clear. Under these policies, law-abiding citizens will face unjust persecution.

Universal Background Checks and Assault Weapon Bans
The Left promotes universal background checks as a vital tool to prevent “gun violence” by improving the screening process for blocking dangerous individuals from buying firearms.
They never talk about, however, how the initiative would pave the way for the federal government to create a comprehensive database of firearms and their owners. What could possibly go wrong with that?
Well . . . only if the government plans to conduct a swift and coordinated seizure of all firearms in America. Kamala Harris is fully on board with confiscations, given her record on gun control as district attorney and California Attorney General.
History has taught us about authoritarian regimes—they always confiscate private firearms.
“Deceptively marketed to the public as a way to keep guns from dangerous people,” said the NRA Institute for Legal Action, “‘universal’ background check legislation is instead a broadside against lawful firearm ownership in America, setting cruel traps for common and innocent firearm-related conduct and banning an entire class of law-abiding adults from certain gun purchases,”
Harris also wants to ban so-called “assault weapons,” though she still hasn’t quite figured out how to define one. If she had her way, she would define every firearm as an “assault weapon” and complete her task of turning America in to Australia.
“Together, when we win in November, we are finally going to pass universal background checks, red flag laws, and an assault weapons ban,” Harris said Aug. 6 during a campaign event with Tim Walz.
Harris and Walz Need to Hear From Gun Owners
There’s no denying that if Harris and Walz get elected, they’ll do everything they can to weaken or even eliminate the Second Amendment. The worst part? They’ll scapegoat law-abiding Americans who legally and responsibly own guns as the problem.
Radical leftist politicians need to hear from the 10 million gun owners who don’t vote. After November, it might be too late.
