Jeff Reynolds on Newsmakers Radio Show: NBA Gambling Scandal, Rosie O'Donnell, and the Government Shutdown
In a wide ranging hour-long conversation, Restoration News Senior Editor Jeff Reynolds discussed breaking news and how it reflects the breakdown of American culture.
In a wide ranging hour-long conversation, Restoration News Senior Editor Jeff Reynolds joined Hunter and Denise on Newsmakers at Noon on 1430 KYKN in Salem, OR on Oct 23. The discussion ranged from the massive gambling scandal that broke this week in the NBA, affecting Oregon's only major professional sports team; to Rosie O'Donnell's plea for relevance from overseas with a call for a Black Friday Boycott against Donald Trump; then to Oregon Governor Tina Kotek (D) and her "accomplishments" as she launches her reelection campaign; and the general state of the Democratic Party message especially as it has failed to land with the American public during the government shutdown. Other topics included the Democratic Senate candidate in Maine with the offensive tattoo and how it represents the classic liberal condition known as projection—accuse your opponent of doing the terrible thing you're actually doing.
At one point the discussion turned to Jay Jones and his floundering campaign for Virginia Attorney General. Denise made a hilarious observation about Abigail Spanberger, the Democratic candidate for governor, who she said tried the "scared bunny routine" during her debate with the Republican, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. She said Spanberger looked like she was thinking, "If I don't look at you, you can't see me!"
Jeff took a victory lap on behalf of Restoration News Senior Investigator Victoria Manning, who broke the news about the New Kent County prosecutor opening an investigation into Jay Jones' "community service" hours to get out of jail time for reckless driving—a story she broke almost two weeks before the Washington Times confirmed it this week.
This discussion was a lot of fun, and it hit several points in the news cycle for the week.
