Expect Freedom of Worship To Die Under Kamala Harris' War On Religion
Harris labels a person’s religious beliefs discriminatory if they don’t align with her secularist-socialist agenda.
When it comes to faith and religious liberty, Kamala Harris wants the government to have more control. That shouldn’t be a surprise since Harris is a self-described radical and supports the ideas of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez—one of the most extreme members of Congress and a proud “Democratic Socialist.”
In 1993, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act was passed to provide more protections against the government “burdening a person’s exercise of religion.” Harris felt this act was too permissive, so in 2018 she sponsored the so-called “Do No Harm Act” that would undermine a person’s faith-based rights on issues such as marriage, abortion, and the LGBT agenda.
In a statement on her website advocating for the “Do No Harm Act,” Harris said: “The freedom to worship is one of our nation’s most fundamental rights” and “that First Amendment guarantee should never be used to undermine other Americans’ civil rights.” In other words, if your religious faith doesn’t agree with government-imposed rules such as same-sex marriage or the idea that a man can become a woman, then you are undermining someone else’s rights and are discriminatory.
The Constitution doesn’t mention “worship,” it dictates that Congress shall make no law . . . prohibiting the free exercise of religion.” Harris wants to water down religious freedom like she waters down the Constitution.
Under Harris’ Do no Harm Act, people of faith could be forced to violate their conscience. For example, Catholic physicians could be forced to perform abortions or transgender surgeries. The legislation could also require parochial schools to hire people as teachers or ministers who are in same-sex relationships.
Leftists such as Harris assert that biblically based views are discriminatory—such as beliefs that marriage should be between a man and a woman, or that a man cannot become a woman. The Catholic Church doesn’t permit women to be priests, and under Harris’ proposed legislation, that faith-based practice could deem the Catholic Church to be discriminatory.
Essentially, Harris’ failed Do Not Harm Act would have given the government power to determine what faith-based practices would be allowed and which ones they would deem “discriminatory.”

Harris’ Radical Pastor
Kamala Harris’ personal faith is somewhat a mystery. Her parents were Hindu and Christian but she considers herself a “Black Baptist.” Harris’ home church is the Third Baptist Church of San Francisco. Her Pastor is Amos Brown, who she considers “An inspiration to me always” and Harris is very close to Rev. Brown, revealing she called him after President Biden dropped out of the race.
Just days after the horrific events of the 9/11 terror attacks, Harris’ pastor—who is her inspiration—seemed to blame America, asking “America, is there anything you did to set up this climate?” He made these statements at a memorial service just days after the horrific attacks.
The remarks were so outrageous that even Democrat Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein walked out and Nancy Pelosi apologized to the crowd for his remarks.
Brown was also at the forefront of advocating for slavery reparations in California, a state where slavery was never legal. In an interview in 2022, he proclaimed that America has not changed since the times before the civil rights era, stating: “This sin of race is so deep, so pervasive in the body politic of America that if we don’t find a remnant to help turn things around America is going to go down.”
He further claimed that those who oppose Critical Race Theory are oppressors and don’t “want us to know who we really are.”
Many of Brown’s radical views do not align with historical Baptist tenets. Rev. Brown claims “there should be no restrictions on persons on how they express their sexuality.” Does this mean pedophilia would be acceptable to him? Rev. Brown needs a refresher on the book of Genesis’ account of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Amos Brown is not only a pastor but also a politician. In 1996 he was appointed to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors by his good friend Mayor Willie Brown (Kamala Harris’ former boyfriend). In Jan. 2024, Rev. Brown was accused of intimidating Asian business owner and rapper Andy Yang, who published a video criticizing the San Francisco mayor for the crime plaguing his business. Rev. Brown reportedly made a visit to Yang intimidating him into making an apology for the video.
Rev. Brown also wrote an op-ed in 2008 defending Obama’s controversial Pastor Jeremiah Wright for his vile anti-Israel statements. Brown even invited Wright as a guest speaker at his church. At least Obama was smart enough to condemn his pastor’s statements and disassociated with Wright’s church.
Rather than running away from Rev. Brown, Harris proudly embraces him.
