Democrats are Science-Deniers Causing Permanent Damage to Children

Wisconsin Democrat Gov. Tony Evers opposes parents by vetoing a parental rights bill that would protect children from harmful agendas.

Democrats like Gov. Tony Evers deny the science that proves radical gender ideology causes permanent harm to children. The bill passed by the Republican Wisconsin legislature included protections for students and parents. Items addressed in the legislation included the rights of parents to be notified of crimes at school, decide their child’s religion, withhold consent for medical care at school, determine the names and pronouns used for the child while at school, and more. It is appalling that Evers believes government knows better than parents, setting children up to be victims of dangerous social agendas.

Scientific evidence overwhelmingly proves the transgender movement is a social contagion causing lasting harm to vulnerable children—including those with special needs.

The recently published Cass report, commissioned by England’s National Health Service (NHS), focuses solely on clinical services for children seeking treatment for gender identity issues. The report’s bombshell findings show that mental health and social factors are strong contributors to children’s gender identity confusion, and medical interventions have not been properly studied to understand long-term implications.

The foreword of the report indicates the author, Dr. Hilary Cass, has a liberal bent. She explains the review is not about “undermining the validity of trans identities” nor “challenging the right of people to express themselves.” Yet Dr. Cass doesn’t let criticism coming from both sides of the transgender issue impact her research working to find answers on the topic of gender identity.

Dr. Cass reveals her disappointment with a lack of evidence-based research related to early hormone use and the long-term impacts of the medications. She indicates that even when a medical treatment is recommended, mental health and psychosocial issues must also be addressed.

Autistic or neurodiverse individuals are up to 6 times more likely to be diagnosed with gender confusion than their non-neurodiverse peers. Chloe Cole is a young woman who was convinced by social media and medical professionals that she was transgender. When Chloe was young, her parents thought she may be autistic, but her doctors said she was too smart to be autistic and instead medicated her for ADHD when she was 10. Chloe began taking hormones and puberty blockers at the age of 13 and had a double mastectomy at age 15. It was only a few months after the surgery that regret set in, and she’s now suing her doctors for the lasting harm they caused her.

Chloe didn’t have gender identity confusion; she instead struggled with anxiety, depression, and undiagnosed autism. Yet doctors pushed life-long drastic medical changes to her body for which she continues to have complications and may never be able to fulfill her desire to have children. The Cass report confirms that children seeking gender services must be screened for neurodevelopmental issues and must receive a mental health assessment.

Other research has confirmed the dangers of gender reassignment treatment. An in-depth Swedish study found a much higher risk of suicide—19 times higher—in people who underwent sex reassignment surgery. Dr Riittakerttu Kaltiala is the chief psychiatrist at a pediatric gender clinic in Finland and a leading expert on pediatric gender medicine. She asserts that 4 out of 5 children who question their gender will soon grow out of it.

A Wisconsin Judge Sides with Parents—School Boards, Take Note

Children need protection from woke ideologues who push their twisted views in government schools. Parents love and care for their children but Evers and Wisconsin Democrats want to push parents out of the picture so government can control children’s minds.

Wisconsin doesn’t have laws on the books specifically defining rights of parents to not have government employees keep secrets about children. In schools across the nation, children are socially transitioning—identifying as a different gender and using a different name—without the knowledge of their parents. Government schools encourage radical gender ideology causing lasting harm to children. While one could argue that parents have a natural and fundamental right and responsibility to direct the care and upbringing of their child, state and local governments don’t always see it that way.

The Kettle Moraine School District just outside of Milwaukee had a policy permitting secrets to be kept from parents about student gender transition. In Oct. 2023, two parents sued the district after they discovered the school was calling their middle school daughter by a different name without their knowledge or permission. A judge ruled in favor of the parents emphasizing the school district cannot overrule parental rights, indicating it was a medical and healthcare decision to be made by parents.

A lack of state law on parental rights didn’t thwart the Waukesha School Board who took the matter into their own hands. They adopted a resolution in support of parental rights, including this statement: “Minor student questions of gender identity and sexuality are personal and private. Any involvement in these topics by school staff should be done with the full consent or collaboration of the parents.” School board members can be the most impactful decision makers in government. They control what is being taught to children, determining the future of the nation. Too often school board seats go unopposed, allowing radical individuals to take control of important education decisions. Pay attention to school board elections and consider running for your district school board seat to impact meaningful change.
