Why Did “Border Czar” Kamala Lie About Her Failed Border Bill at the Debate?

She refuses to stand by her own record while spinning fact-free tales

Kamala Harris told Americans that her failed Senate border bill from earlier this year would have ended the border crisis that she and Joe Biden manufactured in 2021, dodging responsibility for reducing illegal immigration.

“That bill would have put 1,500 more border agents on the border to help those folks who are working there right now, overtime, trying to do their job. It would have allowed us to stem the flow of fentanyl coming into the United States,” she said. In short, it would have secured the southern border—if only Trump hadn’t killed the bill, according to Harris.

The truth is that the border bill would have codified Kamala’s open border crisis into law by legalizing 5,000 illegal border crossings every single day—that’s 2 million crossings each year. That’s twice the number of Green Cards authorized annually.

It would have cemented in place Biden’s catch-and-release policy, responsible for greenlighting over 4 million illegal aliens to cross the border into our communities. The bill would have also granted work authorization to any non-citizen who claims asylum, enabling them to live here for years as illegal aliens with the government’s consent.

As for stopping fentanyl—which has exploded under Harris, with agents seizing 818 million lethal doses of the narcotic in that past 3 months alone—the border bill would have done absolutely nothing.

These are Kamala Harris’ border policies. You’ve been living with them for the past 4 years. Why won’t she stand by her own record? Why is she lying to voters if she did such a good job securing the border?
