Human Trafficking is Skyrocketing in Georgia. The Cause: Kamala’s Open Border

The Peach State is grappling with a serious human trafficking crisis, as Vice President Kamala Harris’s open border policies have allowed millions of illegal aliens—many involved in criminal activities, including trafficking—to enter our country.

Since 2021, Georgia has experienced a staggering 287 percent surge in human trafficking for commercial sex acts and a 333 percent rise in trafficking for involuntary servitude during Vice President Kamala Harris’s term—numbers that will only rise over the next four more years if she wins office.

But Harris is turning a blind eye to the effects of her own actions, allowing more and more illegal aliens, many of them sex offenders and gang members, to cross into the country every day. Now Americans are witnessing societal collapse on a grand scale in areas like Georgia, Pennsylvania, New York, Colorado, and Arizona.

"I pledge that I am going to bring forward that bipartisan bill to further strengthen and secure our border,” Harris said in October, despite allowing over 10 million illegal aliens to enter the country in only four years.

Harris has had her chance as the “Border Czar,” but she chose to put the American people last and refused to even visit the border until September—probably because she needed footage for a campaign ad.

Now, trafficking is skyrocketing, and she doesn’t seem phased.

The Numbers

From 2021–2022, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) human trafficking investigations increased by 24 percent, and Department of Justice (DOJ) investigations increased by 12 percent. The increase is based on the most recent release of human trafficking information provided by the U.S. Department of State.

On a larger scale, FBI reporting shows a cumulative 49 percent increase in human trafficking from 2011 to 2022­—an increase that parallels a 547 percent rise in border encounters during the same period.

Though many will argue there is no correlation, human trafficking in the U.S. has increased parallel to border encounters over the last 15 years. The data for 2023 and 2024 is not available, but the Harris-Biden administration has allowed at least 10 million illegal aliens to enter the country—leaving it a plausible assumption that human trafficking data will also show an increase for 2023 through 2024.

In total, the country now bears the weight of an estimated 16.8 million illegal aliens, fueling increases in trafficking, murder, and other crimes.

Human Trafficking and Worse

Illegal aliens are ripping America apart, and the Left is more concerned about expanding their voter base than protecting Americans.

Members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan prison gang sheltered in the sanctuary city of Denver, Colorado, are now spreading into the suburbs, using AR-15s to maintain control and putting countless law-abiding families at risk.

During the Harris-Biden presidency, innocent young women Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray have been murdered in the streets by illegal aliens, and towns like Springfield, Ohio are barely holding on as the entire demographic of the town shifts due to Harris’s policy that brought 20,000 Haitian nationals into the country.

Not only has Kamala Harris failed at the border and left American children and families open to crime, but her border policies have allowed nearly 300,000 illegal alien children to go “missing”—seemingly creating a playground for human traffickers.

"The open border policies of the Biden-Harris administration have led to a national security and humanitarian crisis unlike we have ever seen along our southern border,” said Ohio Rep. Bob Latta (R) about the missing children. “This is completely unacceptable. The Biden-Harris administration must be held accountable for this extreme dereliction of duty."

It's time to close our borders and protect American citizens. Kamala Harris and her “progressive” policies are directly responsible for increases in crime, human trafficking, and violence.

Americans have had enough.
