GEORGIA POLL: Biden’s Border Policies Killed Laken Riley, Voters Report
It’s buyer’s remorse for voters in this battleground state that’s breaking for Trump
By a 3–1 margin, Georgia voters say Joe Biden’s border policies are to blame for the murder of nursing student Laken Riley in April, according to a new poll by Steve Cortes’ League of American Workers.
By 61–22 percent, Georgians correctly blame Biden for allowing the Venezuelan illegal alien who murdered her, Jose Ibarra, into the country. That figure would doubtless be higher if the legacy media wasn’t covering up the story to protect Biden and his allies, downplaying it as a “slaying” by an “Athens man” indicative of “the fears of solo female athletes” of predatory men.
In fact, Biden’s Border Patrol assisted Ibarra into America as he crossed the Mexican border illegally in 2022 and failed to deport him twice—first after New York police detained Ibarra for endangering his 5-year-old stepson and again when he shoplifted from an Athens Walmart. Then Ibarra ambushed and brutally bludgeoned Riley to death in a sanctuary city that protects illegal aliens from deportation before trying to hide her body.
That’s especially bad for Biden considering Georgians are (unsurprisingly) far more familiar with the news of Riley’s murder than voters in other swing states. Fully 63 percent of Georgians report being somewhat or very familiar with Riley’s murder, compared with 52 percent of Arizonans and 48 percent of Wisconsinites.
Notably, however, majorities of voters in both these battleground states also blame Biden’s border policies for Riley’s murder. In other words, the more familiar voters are with her story, the more likely they are to blame Joe Biden.
That bodes well for presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, who leads Biden in every swing state as of writing—in Georgia, by 10 points, according to Cortes’ latest poll.

Democrats Shield Criminal Aliens
Restoration News reported last week on a new law signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) that cracks down on the Peach State’s rogue sanctuary cities, which have been illegal since 2009. Now Republicans are going further by cutting off funding for local jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration officials. “Lawlessness will find no safe haven in Georgia,” Kemp wrote.
Not under Republicans, that is.
In contrast, all but one Democrat in the Georgia legislature voted against the bill (four abstained), indicating their unwavering support for protecting illegal aliens who murder Americans.
It’s the same story in Congress, where the overwhelming majority of Democrats voted against the Laken Riley Act (H.R. 7511) empowering state attorneys general to sue the Department of Homeland Security for utterly abdicating its duty to protect the U.S. border, and would reinstate Trump’s extremely effective “Remain in Mexico” policy for asylum-seekers.
If that law had been in place before April, Jose Ibarra would’ve been deported ages before he killed Riley—but Democrat politicians are doing everything they can to keep that loophole open for future murderers to exploit.
The Left’s message is clear: We don’t give a damn about you or your family. Until Americans toss them out of office, the carnage will continue.
