Does Arizona Want California Gun Laws? Ruben Gallego & Kamala Harris Do
Arizona Democrat Ruben Gallego and Vice President Kamala Harris see eye to eye when it comes to gun policy: Violate the Constitution and remove as many guns from Americans as possible.
Leftist Democrats keep exposing their hypocrisy on the Second Amendment—pushing for the harshest gun control measures while parading their military service and personal gun ownership like it gives them a free pass.
Radical Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego, the Democrat running for U.S. Senate, ranks among the worst of these hypocrites. His gun control policies match Vice President Kamala Harris’ extreme record on stripping Americans of their Second Amendment rights, yet he wants to keep guns for himself.
“I had to buy a gun. I was so used to having my rifle around me, that when they took it away from me, it was like losing a limb. I bought a 9 mm pistol. I didn’t get it to do anything but to feel whole. I can’t even say I was scared to be unarmed-I was unsettled but not scared,” Gallego wrote in his 2021 memoir, They Called Us "Lucky."
Anti-gun politicians have a particular knack of making themselves appear pro-gun, but their policies eventually reveal their true beliefs and intentions. Gallego’s time in Congress has proven he’s an enemy of the Second Amendment who cannot be trusted to uphold our constitutional rights—even if he says not having a firearm is like “losing a limb.”
Mirroring Harris, Gallego has backed ATF overreach, so-called “assault weapon” bans, expanded federal control over firearms, red flag laws, longer waiting periods, and universal background checks—extreme measures that, if enforced together, pave the way for rapid, widespread gun confiscation.
"Are we going to really be able to get rid of people owning and possessing guns? I don't know,” Harris said while serving as district attorney of San Francisco 21 years ago. "I don't think we're anywhere close to that, right now. I would not put all my effort into that being the solution, because I think it’s a long way off."
That may have been a long time off in 2006. But that’s in our immediate future should Kamala Harris be elected president. To radicals like Harris and Gallego, gun confiscation is the “solution.”
Hypocrites Playing with Guns
The Left has been on a warpath against the Second Amendment for decades, and political hypocrisy is nothing new to Democrats.
Vice presidential pick Tim Walz, much like Gallego, was once a National Guard member who claimed to be a staunch defender of gun rights. But he now follows the radical the Left and supports the most extreme forms of gun control.
