Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff Poses a Serious Threat to Georgia Gun Owners
Ossoff sells out Georgia gun owners to support and implement policies dictated by dark money radicals.
Democrat Sen. Jon Ossoff has made it clear that he fully supports stripping away the Second Amendment rights of Georgians—despite telling voters, "I'll defend our Second Amendment."
The policies Sen. Ossoff endorses restrict everyday gun owners, hunters, sport shooters, and any law-abiding citizen who exercises their right to self-defense. He has publicly supported a federal ban on so-called "assault weapons," restrictions on magazines, and mandatory firearm licensing.
Ossoff has said, "I support universal criminal history checks for gun purchases, red flag laws to protect family members and domestic partners concerned about the mental health of their loved ones, and closing the gun show loophole. I support a ban on the sale of semi-automatic rifles ('assault weapons') and high-capacity magazines to the general public."
He has backs extreme red flag laws that allow the government to seize firearms from individuals without due process. Ossoff also supports universal background checks that lay the foundation for a national gun registry.

In the U.S. Senate, Ossoff supported legislation backed by gun control groups, including the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and the Enhanced Background Checks Act—bills that pave the way for indefinite delays on firearm purchases and fund an ever-expanding list of leftist firearm policies.
The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act later served as a Trojan horse, channeling mental health funding to states that submitted to the Biden administration—but only if they implemented red flag gun confiscation laws. Thanks to Ossoff, and numerous other likeminded Democratic lawmakers, Georgia is now one of those states—receiving $7.5 million in 2023 to support red flag law implementation.
Red flag laws do not solve mental health problems, and only serve to punish law-abiding citizens, according to Adam Kraut, executive director of the Second Amendment Foundation. "The problem with [red flag laws] is that you’re trying to predict the future, and you just can’t do that," Kraut told Restoration News. "We don’t live in a society where we punish people based on actions they may take at some unknown point in time, if ever."
Sen. Ossoff also backed the ATF while the Biden administration weaponized the agency as a covert enforcement arm. Gun store closures hit a 16-year high, common firearm attachments were reclassified—turning millions of lawful gun owners into felons overnight—and an innocent man was killed during a botched ATF raid.

Ossoff Does Not Defend Gun Owners
Ossoff's policies don’t target criminals—they target the constitutional freedoms of the people he was elected to represent.
Electing lawmakers who support the right to self-defense has never been more urgent for Georgians, especially as violent crime continues to rise. Between 2019 and 2022, Georgia saw a staggering increase in violent crime: Murders rose by 66 percent, rapes by 61 percent, and aggravated assaults by 55 percent.
Even more alarming were the surges in human trafficking. According to FBI data, commercial sex trafficking cases jumped by 287 percent, while involuntary servitude increased by 333 percent.
As crime surges, Democrats like Ossoff continue to push anti-gun policies that disarm responsible citizens and embolden criminals. Unless voters push back, the erosion of Second Amendment rights will continue—and Georgians will be left defenseless.
